Jacob Trouba+ for Nail Yakupov

To :jets

Nail Yakupov

To :edmonton

Jacob Trouba
1st Round Pick 2015

penguins2946* 12-06-2013 02:01 PM

Overpayment by Winnipeg IMO. The difference between the 2 isn't a 1st round pick that will likely be top-10 (sorry Jets fans)

Krishna 12-06-2013 02:01 PM

Jets pass

LEIFey 12-06-2013 02:01 PM

With the way both players have been playing, I imagine Peg fans will not be happy with this. Is Yakupov really worth more than Trouba right now?

Szechwan 12-06-2013 02:02 PM

The Oil should do it, twice the chance at McDavid in the lottery

Ducks Nation* 12-06-2013 02:02 PM

Rather have Trouba and pick.

McRpro 12-06-2013 02:03 PM

Jets wouldn't do it. Oilers would.

HooliganX2 12-06-2013 02:05 PM

I think currently Nail and Trouble are pretty close to equal in value so a bad trade for the jets.

Flyerss 12-06-2013 02:05 PM

the Oilers should be adding not the jets

Huffer 12-06-2013 02:05 PM

Easy no. Not even straight up. Laughable to be adding the pick.

Peter Tagli Eddie 12-06-2013 02:14 PM

Only way Edm gets Trouba for Yak is if they build a time machine and take him #1 overall.

allan5oh 12-06-2013 02:21 PM

Jets say no.

55 12-06-2013 02:29 PM

Yakupov isn't worth that much. Jets decline.

Devo1212 12-06-2013 02:34 PM

Yakupov is worth way to much buy I see him getting traded at the deadline if he keeps on not playing well and it will be an interesting deadline if he gets traded we will just have to wait and see what happens.

fmrdh 12-06-2013 02:39 PM

I don't know if I'd do it if it was Yak + 1st for Trouba.

AtlantaWhaler 12-06-2013 02:39 PM

Oil adds a pick instead.

Goodlad 12-06-2013 02:41 PM

When I saw the Trouba + in the thread title I was thinking it would be a 3rd/4th or B/C prospect. Had no idea it would be a 1st rounder! :handclap:

I'm guessing Jets will pass

SI90 12-06-2013 02:54 PM

imho straight up would be close....

ManofSteel55 12-06-2013 02:58 PM

Close from Edmonton's perspective, they may even do it. Not close from Winnipeg's perspective. I don't see Trouba being traded unless Winnipeg gets a major steal.

Bullseyes 12-06-2013 03:01 PM

I don't see why Winnipeg does this.

At this stage, why wouldn't they do it?

Blind Gardien 12-06-2013 03:11 PM

Trouba > Yakupov. You'd have to switch around to Yakupov+ for Trouba, no? :dunno:

Wouldn't even consider it, Jets have no interest in a player like Yakupov.

I agree that Trouba > Yakupov ONLY because in terms of calibre of player/potential they are equal, but Trouba is a RHD which is much harder to come by than a winger.

Value wise in a vacuum Trouba = Yakupov at this point
