Game thread - Exhibition - Habs@Wild 8PM Tonight

Here's the lineup for the Habs:

Hossa-Ribeiro-Audette
Bulis-Plekanec-Perezhogin
Sundstrom-Juneau-Dackell
Ferland-Higgins-Carpentier

Markov-Rivet
Souray-Hainsey
Beauchemin-Traverse

Theodore
Damphousse

I think the habs are going to win 3-2.

Pre-Season or not, they better start scoring some goals.

Congrats!

Just thought I'd take the risk of predicting anyways.

danboulie 09-30-2003 05:40 AM

Well,
I'll say a 2-1 win for Montreal, since they're playing against a defensive-minded wild team!

The only problem is from now on, we also have to be considered a defensive minded team... ;)

0-0 for us... :D

Do you have look at the lineup against the leafs, our top 6 players doesn't play. They can't win with this lineup.
Lineup against the leafs:3 to 1 Wild
Better lineup with Ribeiro, Zednick, Markov:3 to 2 Habs

I sure hope they play more exciting hockey then this during the regular season or it's going to be a very long year indeed.

Habs4Life 09-30-2003 08:21 AM

Habs blow them out by a score of 6-2...

I read in the presse that Ribeiro didn't make the trip.

SuperUnknown 09-30-2003 08:28 AM

I'll say Wild 5 - Habs 1...

Brisebois 09-30-2003 09:38 AM

Oh what the hell... 4 Montreal - Minnesota 2

Go Habs Go 09-30-2003 10:42 AM

1-0 Habs

how can the wild score 5 goals without Dupuis and Gaborik? :dunno:

If Ribs and Zed = dress
habs=3 and wild = 1;
else
if Theo = dress
habs 3 and wild = 2;
else habs = 1 and wild = 2;
end

RichardZednik#20 09-30-2003 12:05 PM

Or, now that he has a new contract, he just float around?

I heard Claude Julien in an interview on CKAC 730 this morning... he said that he would use most of his veterans for the remaining games. He said the line up would look similar to what we'll see in the opening game.

Hopefully we finally see some goals scored. I predict a 2-1 loss though.

Blackshad 09-30-2003 12:55 PM

4-1 wild :(

All-Star 09-30-2003 01:14 PM

I predict a 1-0 game. Whoever scores first will play defensively until the end and win...:cry:

Well it's a 2 way deal so he will have to work to stay up. With Pitsburgh it was a 1 way deal. Anyway I hope him the best even if he doesn't really deserve it.

BrettHabs24 09-30-2003 01:38 PM

Lineups?

marcel 09-30-2003 01:42 PM

ribero not making the trip is he injured?is his head ok after the big hit he took that broke his helmet?

i say the wild win 4-1 theo plays like crap,and the game is as exciting as watching wet paint dry.hope i'm wrong.is souray getting suspended?

ceber 09-30-2003 01:44 PM

Daigle definitely still needs to earn a spot. Lemaire has said he wants to get more ice time for the veterans, but we still have a few guys fighting for spots so I expect/hope to see Daigle, Brandner, Veilleux, and hopefully Foy skating tonight.

thestonedkoala 09-30-2003 01:45 PM

And yes Minnesota cna pot a lot of goals if given the chance.
