Will Alexander Radulov ever come back to the NHL?

I think he is UFA for the NHL now? correct me if I am wrong.

Patrick Roy liked him in the junior and now that he is coach of the Avalanche. I could see him bringing him back to the NHL to see if he has chemistry with Duchene or Stastny.

What do you say?

PensFan101 12-10-2013 11:16 AM

Hard to imagine he's got any desire to come back after the way last time ended, on top of the massive pay cut he would have to take, if the estimates published a few weeks back are even close to accurate.

Unless he gets the itch to chase a Stanley Cup, I imagine it's slim to none we see him state side.

Legion of Goon 12-10-2013 11:19 AM

Who cares? as long as he does not play for my team

captainpaxil 12-10-2013 11:19 AM

last i heard carolina still had his rights. he has nhl talent the contract rules just dont work for every player

mrinsane 12-10-2013 11:22 AM

I don't want him in the NHL like the K's bro

Freudian 12-10-2013 11:26 AM

He'll be a UFA this summer, but has a massive KHL contract ($9M/year) until 2016.

PricePkPatch 12-10-2013 11:28 AM

Doesn't the agreement between NHL and KHL prevents Radulov from signing with an NHL team unless he has an agreement with his KHL contractual party?

Vikke 12-10-2013 11:29 AM

I would love him on the Flyers, but I can't see him leaving the KHL again after how he was mistreated last time.

thom 12-10-2013 11:29 AM

Its a very strange story because as you know he played junior career in Quebec-language culture even different that rest of NA.He came to Canada I would have thought to play in Nhl.Maybe its money but maybe something else

Helton4Hall 12-10-2013 11:31 AM

I'm sure he's just dying to move halfway across the globe away from his home country in order to take a massive paycut, play in a more physical league, and violate an existing contract so he can play for a coach he spent a whole two years with when he was 18.

The Merchant 12-10-2013 11:39 AM

God I wish, but it ain't happening. He has absolutely zero reason to ditch his KHL contract, especially considering his connection with Roy has been in a standstill.

O'Reilly - Duchene - Radulov
Landeskog - Stastny - Parenteau
McGinn - MacKinnon - Tanguay
McLeod - Mitchell - Bordeleau

Fun to dream.

Haha still great without him, dont need a "me first" guy like that in this league. Plus he has absolutely no incentive to come back

Why is he a "me first" guy?

Was a high drafted player who left the team that drafted him who were/are desperate for a player like him for more money and fame to play at home.
Returned for the playoffs, when the preds were contenders and was caught at a bar breaking curfew the night before a second-round playoff game. Causing a controversy at the time.
Maybe its just my opinion of him, but his actions dont back up his case.

:shakehead

Radulov on the first line, that would be a nightmare.

Alklha 12-10-2013 11:51 AM

He has a KHL contract until 2016, when he'll be 30. I could see him wanting to give the NHL another shot at some point, but I'd imagine it won't be in 2016 if he is still getting offered huge money in Moscow.

Wingsfan2965* 12-10-2013 11:52 AM

From the little NHL time he's had he's seemed like an attitude not worth having around.

Cause in the playoffs he skipped on curfew with Sergei Kostitsyn to a bar and was generally seen as unhappy and taking it seriously.

And who exactly mistreated him? You mean the NAS management, who held him to the same professional standard as others on the team? Poor boy!

coldsteelonice84 12-10-2013 12:41 PM

I hope not; he was a ****ing dud.

Powdered Toast Man 12-10-2013 12:42 PM

I can't get over the amount of hate supposed "me first" players get. As if any of you give one real **** about the company you work for.
