The Beast of the West

Welcome back to reality. LA is a big, fast team that drives to the net. We are small, and perimeter. I feel bad for Carey Price. We have a superstar goalie, superstar defenseman and a weak team. Wake up Bergervin and continue signing 5'7" David Desharnais, 5'8" Daniel Briere, 5'5" Francios Boullion.

Binary Code 12-10-2013 08:26 PM

Lol we only needed 1 blowout lose after a 6 game winning streak to have those threads again

HABsurde 12-10-2013 08:28 PM

this fan base is WITHOUT A DOUBT the most bipolar of any fan base in any sport.....

cue the apocalypse in 5-4-3-2-.....

Hank Scorpio 12-10-2013 08:37 PM

We were due for a game like this. Every team puts up a stinker once and a while. What's more important is how we rebound.

ZARTONK 12-10-2013 08:43 PM

Let's be reality!

Habskrieg 12-10-2013 08:43 PM

We're getting blown out after an incredibly good stretch. ABORT EVERYTHING!!!

Though, this game will humble us a bit. It's ok. We've won and lost against both bad and good western teams. Relax.

That's the big question here. Last year when we lost to the leafs 6-0 the team responded very well. It's all about how you respond to a tough loss.

Danger Zone 12-10-2013 08:48 PM

I'm just glad that we're getting pasted by a team that isn't a rival for once (Toronto, Boston, Ottawa...), it hurts so much less.

The Russian General 12-10-2013 08:53 PM

Ok get out dude. I hate these negativists ********ers who come here after a loss posting stuff in a "I told you so" manner. We've handled good teams this year. This is just one game.

Rosso Scuderia 12-10-2013 08:55 PM

Size does matter.

We're not even in the same league.

The only time we look ok and can put shot on net were on the PP.

They are big and skill, all they need is to put traffic in front of our goalie and we are toasted.

De Montreal 12-10-2013 08:57 PM

We're not worthy of the allmighty Los Angeles Kings! Should throw the towel already.

canadiensnation 12-10-2013 08:57 PM

Ridiculous just go in your room and rant to yourself we don't need this kind of negativity on this forum.

The Habs were due for a loss like this it's just a coincidence that it happens against a team who hasn't won here in Montreal in over 13 years.

Close this thread it comes up everytime we lose.

rockjngo 12-10-2013 09:03 PM

LA forwards average size 6'2" 210lbs, with their top line averaging 6'3" 220lbs. We are not a playoff team. if we want to win we need to build for the playoffs not just survive it.

King Niinimaa* 12-10-2013 09:04 PM

I'm actually fine with Habs being manhandled by tough as nails cup-contender. It's only a minority of users but nevertheless you know people need to step back when DD shouldn't be traded and there might be something good about Rene Bourque. Now we can get back to reality, where we're still pretty good.

I kinda like Kings. Their hockey is very defensive-minded but least they don't hate the game within the way of Predators (when they were good-era).

Technically no other team in the NHL is either. LA is the biggest team in the league.

Like someone else mentioned, these happen. It's one loss. No big deal. You move on from them.

No reason to panic. LA is a great team. This is their time.
