Bauer My Bauer's 4 inch extensions..
I'm looking to buy a new stick and thinking about ordering it online from Bauer. I'm wondering about the 4 inch extension because I'm willing to wait for the stick to come in if the extension is actually apart of the stick. If it's just one of the composite plugs I can buy at my local hockey store along with the stick there really isn't any point in ordering it and waiting a few weeks for it to come in.

Anyone know about this?

It's not a heat-and-insert composite plug, but a fused extension. Similar purpose.

Is it noticeably better than the heat and insert plugs?

Depends. If you think that the stick is too blade heavy, then the heat and insert plug might be better to add more weight to the butt end of your stick. If the stick feels perfect for you, then the extension might be better to prevent the stick being too blade light.

I think for composite plugs though, their weight is so little that it wouldn't make a huge difference. For a wood plug, sure. So yeah you could just go buy the stick now and get a composite end plug.

If you think you can notice the difference between the fused and the heat-and-insert, then think again, because you can't lol
