Good thing the Blues just signed Steen. Players are usually a bit hungover after receiving a new contract.

Definitely one of MiG's more understated GDT's, but the man's an artist. I like it!

Lafleurs Guy 12-19-2013 09:58 AM

Hope we play a better game than last time...

Blues forward group is looking pretty rough right now. Hopefully the Habs can take advantage.

Very postmodern.

And they don't have Backes.

Jigger77 12-19-2013 10:18 AM

Should be a good one tonight!

Any team coached by Ken Hitchcock and Ray Bennett are prepared every game, this is a 60 minute team game. Slip once and it will cost you.

Benoit Brunet is sure to chime in. Ça va être l'essssss contre l'ouessss.

The Note in Ky 12-19-2013 10:47 AM

Updated on the Blues lines:

Looks like Schwartz is likely in, Sobotka not, Backes skated in conditioning, but isn't on ice for practice

Schwartz - Steen - Oshie
Porter - Roy - Stewart
Paajarvi - Berglund - Tarasenko
Morrow - Lapierre - Cracknell

D stays the same, scratch = LOLaiacovo

He's our usual 13/14th forward with Paajarvi (they interchange depending on the team), and Porter being our 15th. Reaves has a broken hand from hitting someones face too hard. Cracknell Porter and Reaves are the CPR line that gave us a lot of energy and life in the playoffs last year, even though we didn't win it, they helped keep us in the series physically.

Either way you put it Cracknell is just a big bodied 4th line plug that adds to our depth. Not an offensive producer but great at getting us zone time. That's all.

Reaves broke his hand a few weeks ago. He should be back sometime in early to mid January.

It will be nice for us to have Schwartz in but missing Backes sucks.

Good luck and here's to an injury free game.

Love that name. Could have been Walter White's successor in a sequel.

Scratch that, Walter White lives:

The Blues are one of the elite teams in the NHL, as shown by their winning% and their Corsi and Fenwick stats. The Habs are not in the same class as the Blues yet, but due to certain injuries (Backes), they might be able to pull out a win. But only if the turnaround in the Coyotes game continues on today.

Daley Tarasenkshow 12-19-2013 11:33 AM

Good Luck tonight! I'm a big fan of the Canadiens after my visit to their HOF in Montreal while on vacation. Tons of history!

Here's to an injury free game!
