Holy **** I just noticed the Oilers GDT used jerseys as the lineups too wtf.

Alklha 12-21-2013 11:03 AM

Polák on IR. Reassessed in 2 weeks. Fantastic.

And no call ups from the Wolves, that means more Colaiacovo, ugghhh another injury waiting to happen. And endless Perron discussion for tonight's game, oh joy... :sarcasm:

Mowzie 12-21-2013 12:37 PM

Easy 2 points for you guys tonight. Perron and Hall are the only Oilers that bring effort on a semi-regular basis, but since Perron has been juggled on to another line he hasn't been very effective.

First game home after a road trip, a nationally televised game... All arrows point to St. Louis walking away with a pretty easy win.

Thanks for Perron, I really hope his work ethic and tenacity rubs off on the other guys before they kill his mojo.

Falco Lombardi 12-21-2013 01:02 PM

So we are without Backes, Reaves, Sobotka, and now Polak. Lot of team toughness missing.

Fabbri Rules 12-21-2013 01:15 PM

Let's go Blues! Get win #24 tonight!!

Well thankfully we're playing the Oilers tonight, so it doesn't matter for this game.

We have got to play a physical game still. Playing a skill game would be playing right into the Oilers hands.

I wasn't around for the last game but one thing I noticed we got back to doing was going North-South and firing anything and everything on net. If a player got the puck and had a shooting lane they shot. Keep that up, take everything to the net.

Blanick 12-21-2013 01:33 PM

JR just tweeted that Backes could be playing tonight. :naughty::)

I would rather Backes rested and give more time for his concussion symptoms to be gone for a while before he plays.

I trust the Blues staff enough to not put Backes in if he is not ready.

Yeah when I was looking at team stats, the only positive +/- players had like 6 games played...except Gazdic, he has 32 GP

GreatMcKeith 12-21-2013 02:40 PM

Thanks to poor defensive play and some godawful goaltending those minuses are pretty bad...

Vladys Gumption 12-21-2013 02:42 PM

JR just tweeted that Backes is for sure playing. I think if rather not have him play. I don't want him rushed back.

Inglorious Backes 12-21-2013 02:48 PM

Pumped that Backes is back tonight. And what reason does the team have to rush him back? We're in the middle of December coming off a very good game. I have no doubt that he and the medical staff are both confident that he is 100%.

Yeah, because the blues don't have proper protocol when it comes down to bringing players back from concussions and other injuries. Maybe they should listen to you because they apparently don't know how to manage a team.

Yeah because I totally trashed the team doctors and protocols right? Concussions are not something you want to mess around with. They ****ing suck. I'm not saying they are wrong in clearing him and I didn't say that I don't trust them. But I know from experience that you can be medically cleared and then, boom, you've got concussion symptoms again. So, yes, in this situation I favor being cautious with Backes.

AVictoryDive 12-21-2013 03:37 PM

Accidentally posted in the Ty Rattie thread, but I really want to see how Perron tries to stir things up tonight. Hopefully we won't sit back and let it happen. This should be an interesting game.

Good to see Backes back in there tonight. Excited to see Perron again, go Blues

GreatMcKeith 12-21-2013 04:45 PM

Easiest win for the Blues all year.

I agree. He seemed well liked in the dressing room so it'll be interesting to see how the boys respond if he's chirping or mixing it up near the net.

MattyMo35 12-21-2013 05:25 PM

Hoping for a 4-3 Blues win. Perron with a hat trick, Paajarvi scoring the game winner

EDIT: Actually, not sure I want to be around here if Perron scores a hat trick.....
