Rangers vs Islanders 1/21

So much intensity from everyone tonight.

DaBadGuy7 01-21-2014 08:44 PM

Rangers laid an egg in terms of effort and defensive intensity tonight

M Gaz 01-21-2014 08:45 PM

This place would be going nuts if Hank let in 4.

Salsa Shark 01-21-2014 08:45 PM

Rangers should be ashamed of themselves

SwedishBullet62 01-21-2014 08:45 PM

I know exactly what happened tonight, torts was at the game....thats gotta be it hes got a nice little vacation, wanted to see how his boys were doing and they put on this show....full torts tonight:help:

Callagraves 01-21-2014 08:45 PM

Stupid game to lose. Get gifted a 3-1 lead, can't even make it to overtime.

MGF0723 01-21-2014 08:45 PM

They looked like the Rangers of the fall.

Megustaelhockey 01-21-2014 08:45 PM

Worst game in a month.

Zats Muccarello 01-21-2014 08:45 PM

So are we still starting Talbot over Hank or... :sarcasm:

HatTrick Swayze 01-21-2014 08:45 PM

Wow that was frustrating. Losing on a too many man penalty. Ugh.

RGY 01-21-2014 08:45 PM

RICHARDS ****ING SUCKED.

Brassard and Richards line invisible.

Ice the puck late then try to go on offense when they should have dumped and line changed. Then Richards and Hagelin were lazy getting to the bench and Kreider was too quick getting on.

McDonaghisGod 01-21-2014 08:45 PM

It is unfathomable how this team continues to come out flat against the Islanders and Devils. Pathetic performances against our two biggest rivals time and time again.

silverfish 01-21-2014 08:46 PM

Yeah, that was piss poor. It's a common theme against the Islanders since basically post-lockout. The Isles get up and go for the game like it's game 7. The Rangers seem to treat it like another game. I can rarely remember a game where the Rangers dominated the Islanders. I feel like we're always outplayed by them. Sometimes we'll get the win, but most times we get outplayed.

It's embarrassing to go up 3-1 on a rival team, and not close it out and be taken advantage of in the process.

Hopefully it gives them fuel to bring to the outdoor game, and the game two weeks from now. Need these points.

Some people get mad at Hank for everything. Talbot wasn't bad.

When you have 3 chances to get the puck out and hand it right back over, it's gonna be a goal every time.

8 million cap hit. He's old. Buy him out. Overrated. Yadda, yadda.

Goaltending hasn't been a brick wall this season compared to the last few seasons, but also, the D hasn't been this inept as well.

Nightmare of a game. Come on Girardi.

Mats Zuccarelli 01-21-2014 08:46 PM

Not really sure why you don't have Zuccarello on the ice for the final minute. Not only is he a playmaker and our best passer, but he leads the team in third period goals.

Callagraves 01-21-2014 08:46 PM

Richards on the powerplay- Brad Richards.

Richards everywhere else- Simple Jack.

I always expect to lose to them. :shakehead

DudMan28 01-21-2014 08:47 PM

If we traded Callahan it would probably take me a few games to realize he was gone. Guy is invisible half the game.

BlueshirtBlitz 01-21-2014 08:47 PM

Teams playing well enough for me not to get too mad.

Gotta bounce back and beat a good STL team.

SwedishBullet62 01-21-2014 08:47 PM

at least I can keep this in the back of my head for the next time richards wins us a game and I think about wanting to keep him on the team...

Clausewitz 01-21-2014 08:47 PM

Fair play to the Islanders for playing a solid puck-possession game. The team that deserved to win won tonight. Let's move on -- and actually show up on Thursday.

NCRanger 01-21-2014 08:47 PM

I'm sure no one wants to hear it, but the stupid new "icing" rules directly caused the too many men penalty. Stralman's clear, in every other hockey league in the world is not icing as at least five players could have played the puck.

That said, no consistency against a bunch of confident young ***holes like the Fishsticks will result in an ugly loss.

Abooch68 01-21-2014 08:48 PM

Some of you "fans" are ridiculous. For instance, 2leetch_94 said in the game thread that the devils are better then the Rangers. GTFO..
