Bauer Nexus 400 pads
I've been playing inline for years and I am making the switch to ice to be able to play in a league I have been wanting to for a while. I just bought the set of Bauer Nexus 400 pads shoulder, Elbow, and shin. I was wondering if anyone has usd them and what was there experience like I've looked up as many product review videos as i can but just wanted to check in with some people who have really put them to the test.

I have the nexus 400 ice pant. I like them. Pretty basic in terms of features and protection, but it gets the job done. I imagine the other protective gear is similar.

I had Nexus 400 shins. They are entry level, pads. Good enough for some things, but I wouldn't advise them if you fall on your knees much. I replaced mine after about 3 months.

I just started playing hockey 4-5 months ago, so I went pretty cheap on a lot of the gear to try and minimize my startup costs (I didn't know how serious I'd get). Within 2 months I had cracked the knees on both my shin pads, and when I went down on my knees I'd feel most of the impact. They were still fine for protecting me from getting hit by pucks and sticks, but after bruising my kneecap I knew I had to upgrade.

You mentioned transitioning from inline so I'm guessing your skating is alright (mine wasn't), so if you don't fall down much they should work fine. If your falling down a lot, I recommend putting some decent money into good shins and pants. Those are the two places you'll feel it most.
