Bauer Nexus 1000 pants - good or bad?
I tried Bauer Nexus 1000 Ice Hockey Pant and it felt really good. Great fit and protection. Any experiences with this pant?
I dont have alot of experiences with different hockey pants so I cant know for sure of its good or bad.

I use the One95 pants which look a lot like the Nexus 1000, and they are excellent. Never felt any pain blocking a shot with them or when I fall to the ice on my bottom.

I have the Nexus 400 pants, and even though its a much lower level of protection, the fit should be about the same as for a 1000. I love mine. Very light, and comfortable. Not too restricting either.

It's definitely got tremendous protection and should fit the bill if you're looking for a pant like that.

However, I think it's overkill for most recreational hockey players. The bulk and stiffness of the protective areas are quite substantial. The Nexus 800 pant is more than enough for most rec players and is our go-to team pant for the high end organizations that my store fits up with.
