Rangers @ Jets - 3/14/14

Sorry, folks. Slight technical difficulties.

Team needs to get their heads out of their you know what. The past 3 games have been awful.

Dactyl* 03-14-2014 09:38 PM

Hatty for Haggy

KingP 03-14-2014 09:38 PM

What is going on?

Big 2 points!

Infinitum Vitae* 03-14-2014 09:39 PM

I don't care what anybody says...great game by Richards!

Fataldogg 03-14-2014 09:40 PM

#1 - Hagelin
#2 - Lundqvist
#3 - Richards

Lundqvist was outstanding in the 2nd and 3rd periods. The Jets had a lot of good looks, high quality scoring chances, and he came up with big save after big save to keep the team in the game. Very strong performance. 3rd game in a row where he has been a rock for the team. Those two so-so games after the Olympics should not have put anyone in doubt.

Hagelin played a HUGE game. First 3 goal game of his career. His 3rd goal wasn't the best, but it's a goal and I'll take it.

I thought Richards was a breath of fresh air at points today. I thought St. Louis had his best game since his first game, both in setting up chances and creating them on his own.

Nash had a few good looks, would like to see him get on the board though.

Honestly, this is a win you take and run with it. I think the Jets outplayed us, but with a few big performances, especially from Hagelin, and than Lundqvist, you come out of this with a big two points you didn't necessarily deserve
.

Team STILL needs to start playing better hockey.

3 stars-

Hank. Fitting he'd be so good in his record-tying game. From 10 minutes into the 1st period he was unbeatable.

Hags. Great game defensively. Great game offensively. Hags is too fun to watch when he's on his game.

Stepan. All over the ice defensively. Great pass to Kreider for the game-tying goal. He's been too good in every zone of the ice since just before the Olympics. Gotta keep it up.

Getting outplayed and pulling out the W is why having a goalie like Hank is important.

Time to re-sign Pouliot. The mighty mite line was a failure.

Un Prophete 03-14-2014 09:40 PM

re: Maloney. It's funny, I like his analysis more than Joe's, but he has like zero chemistry with Sam, so I guess it's a push.

nevesis 03-14-2014 09:40 PM

Congratulations Hank! Go get the lead on Sunday.

skymachine 03-14-2014 09:40 PM

Great game by Hank, Hagelin, and Stepan.

Nash seemed lazy. I wish he would bend his knees and move his legs when he has he puck. Seems to be standing straight up whenever he has the puck and subsequently turns it over.

Thunderhead 03-14-2014 09:41 PM

Hank
Hags
MSL ( for that amazing play / pass )

Hire Sather 03-14-2014 09:41 PM

Will need to be a lot better on Sunday.

I tend to panic during games... I don't know how some of you root for this franchise and always think they're gunna pull it out.

Every single point matters. Thats why I act the way I do.

I thought I finally found out the reason why he was on radio instead of TV when he called the game for us with 51 seconds left. Bad Dave.

This was a very big win. It was touch and go, but I thought the Rangers found some stability in the second and turned the tide.

Henrik was great. It was great seeing Hagelin have a game like this.

mike14 03-14-2014 09:42 PM

Nice win, might have been a different result if the Jets were stronger in net, but they ain't...

The good: We won, Hank, Hags, 4th line was very good, Richards line was good as was the Stepan line, PK was great
The bad: The Brassard line just didn't work at all
The Redden: The PP

AHB* 03-14-2014 09:43 PM

AV better break up that line before San Jose. The midgets were atrocious tonight.

MSL is having trouble getting chemistry with anyone.

Pouliot looks like Jagr.

Will never unsee.

BlessThisMess513 03-14-2014 09:43 PM

You can tell Hank is feeling good. Cheese smile ear to ear.

trilobyte 03-14-2014 09:43 PM

Where did the PowerPlay go?

KingP 03-14-2014 09:44 PM

Hank
Hags
Stepan

Hire Sather 03-14-2014 09:44 PM

Helluva game by Hank. This is a game where the elite goalie made the big saves.

Even when guys were open in front! Imagine that.

Glennsoe 03-14-2014 09:45 PM

4 goals on 24 shots??

Hey...I'll take it and run...while fist pumping

AHB* 03-14-2014 09:46 PM

The power play stoppped shooting and fell off a cliff.

AV needs to tell them to start again. WHere are the 40 s hot games. Where is the traffic to the net? With the arrival of MSL, it disappear. The game is to cute again.

MSL is at a fault for that. He never shoots.

I don't get this constant lazy notion of Nash. I actually thought he had a few good looks and generated a few solid chances.

He could be better, but I don't think he was "lazy" or as bad as people make him out to be on a routine basis. Especially this game.

This is a game where the whole team could have been a lot better. Rangers get two points, and I'd say the Jets outplayed us in both the 2nd and 3rd periods.
