Inquirer proofreaders don't work on the weekends

Esche's salary was rather paltry for a starting goalie on a Cup contender. Then again, no one knew at the start of 2003-04 whether Esche or Sean Burke would be "the guy."
And the bolding wasn't even my doing!

Future considerations

Regarding the trade of Jeremy Roenick, the "future considerations" likely will be based on his performance in Los Angeles and become a draft pick. However, don't be surprised if the Kings are out of the playoff picture come March, and the Flyers need a center because of an injury, to see Roenick come back as those same "future considerations." By March, J.R.'s salary would be down to about $1.8 million. It's a wild theory, but plausible.

That would be cool though :)

I don't see how LA would be out of the playoff race, they have a pretty solid team.

They might have a few injuries though that may leave them out of the race.

The Inquirer is a very poorly run newspaper with a couple of good writers.

So what is the good paper to read on line from Philly for all our Flyer info?

The Daily News used to be good, but it seems that Ed Moran is no longer there (does anyone know what happened with him?), and I haven't been impressed with Ray Parillo, Steve King, and all the other writers they've had covering the Flyers.

The best news I get on the Flyers is usually on this board.

The West is wide open, and the Kings have the toughest division in the west. All 5 teams are good teams
