Tambs

With Montoya turning pro, does this push Jeff closer to doing the same? He'd get the ice time in Manchester with the promotions of some of those guys. Would not be a bad idea imo, thinking he could be ready for the jump.

I'm curious how one has anything to do with the other? It's not like Montoya was Tambs Robin.

With Montoya leaving it puts a big hole at goal for them. It's most likely that they will start a freshman at goal. This being Tambs senior year, does he stick around hoping that they get a solid year from their goaltending by a freshman? Or does he move on? I think it's a fair question to ask Jeff, if you had 1 yr of school left and your top goalie skipped town and the backups were unproven. That fact alone would be cause for concern about the success of your team which is young to begin with. Wouldn't you entertain the idea of turning pro? No one like a smart alec.

Beauty, eh? 07-28-2005 12:58 PM

Tambellini has already stated he will stay in college for the entire 4 years.

Very untrue. I like a funny smart alec.

I thought the same thing when I saw that montoya had signed.
Thing is I don't see Tambs signing till he's able to compete for a spot in LA. and I don't see that happening this year.

Why would they sign him, pay him a signing bonus and then trade him?
If they wanted to trade him, he would have been traded.

Good point KJ.
I simply think Jeff realized he just needed to take the next step.

Probably going to Manchester and will be an injury call-up, unless he has a great training camp.

For anybody interested, Tambellini probably got a similar contract to the one Steen got.

Sam, thanks for your post, very useful.

Manchester fans should be very happy with this signing. Tamb is a much quicker skater than Camms. Incredible shot, Great 2 way player.

Man, I dont see how this is going to work. Someone is going to be dealt. There has to be a deal. We've added more than we've lost. :dunno: :help:

I think a deal is coming, Vancouver want's Tambs. Perhaps willing to send us a certain Defenseman who filed for arbitration ??

Give us Bertuzzi and you can have Tambellini

Johnny Utah 08-15-2005 07:56 PM

Why would the Kings deal Tambs? They need to deal someone off there current roster. Not a potential star LW who won't play for the Kings for another 1-2 years.

Wishful thinking. If anything this means that Cammalleri is going to be dealt.
