Both teams get screwed for different reasons (obviously :clown: )
HABS
Higgins isn't going anywhere. He has all the qualities Montreal lacked for years (grit, 2-way game, work ethic, character) and is not more than a year away.
Habs have plenty of Ds. Woywitka could become a good 2-way Dman but nothing suggests he will be an upgrade over any of Markov, Souray, Hainsey, Komisarek or Rivet in a near future.
FLYERS
Brisebois on their D squad? Give me a break. It's one of the strongest in the league with the likes of Ottawa and Detroit. He would actually weaken it.
Primeau is their captain and an important checker. Might as well keep him while they still have a hope for the cup this year. Losing him would seriously compromise their chances.
VALUE
I think Higgins and Woywitka are close to a wash. Primeau however holds more value than Brisebois, but not much more for Montreal who are not a contender. It would be pointless to give anything of value for him as he will be a UFA in a year anyway. I'd do Brisebois for Primeau of course but why in hell would Philly do that? Not ridiculous value wise, but it is however if we talk about needs (a thing about 90% of the proposal makers here seem to avoid considering completely or only do so for one of the two teams involved).
