John Scott vs Justin Johnson

Scott got dropped.

zbubble 04-13-2014 04:42 PM

Caught him right on the button. Good job by a much smaller (but pretty solid) guy.

Got dropped quite good.

However, that's what happens when you're not afraid to let go and open up.

CrownofThornton 04-13-2014 04:46 PM

Can't always just get by on size alone.

Ubi Sunt 04-13-2014 04:55 PM

Scott seems so passive and carefree.

FriedEgg 04-13-2014 04:59 PM

Wow. Nice left

I prefer an Eric Boulton, Trevor Gillies etc over John Scott and George Parros.

Being mean is better.

Agree 100 percent! Whatever happened to gillies? Did he play in khl this year?

tarheelhockey 04-13-2014 05:53 PM

Wow, didn't see that coming at all.

Kinda neat to see Johnson catch a fist at the beginning.

MaxChart 04-13-2014 05:55 PM

I bet he didn't know he was a lefty.

Over the volcano 04-13-2014 05:59 PM

Looks like a one trick pony who forgot his trick.

slava112 04-13-2014 06:00 PM

That was absolutely amazing to watch.

bud12 04-13-2014 06:03 PM

ahl > nhl

4ORRBRUIN 04-13-2014 06:09 PM

Nice knowin' ya John

SirKillalot 04-13-2014 06:11 PM

Great punch. Enjoyable to see Scott go down. Class act by Johnson to hold him and know when it's over and not keep on punching.

Finland actually, suckering Jarkko Ruutu was the only thing he did there I think.

I also think he signed with an ECHL club.

pigpen65 04-13-2014 06:15 PM

Jesus, what are the Islanders feeding these guys?

ObjectiveOpinion 04-13-2014 06:20 PM

Looked like Scott was out on his feet after the first rip to the chin. Kind of sucks he couldn't get more fights in for his last year in the NHL.

Hnidy Hnight 04-13-2014 06:21 PM

Scott's final seconds of his nhl career.

TennisMenace 04-13-2014 06:27 PM

Wow, islanders are one tough team. Do they lose any fights ?

Let's hope.

Nice to see him take one. The guy's not a particularly great fighter beyond just being a giant.

Quares27 04-13-2014 07:03 PM

No wonder Scott rarely fights heavyweights. I mean I know Justin Johnson is a career ECHL goon but that's just pathetic. And stuff like this just shows why the best fighter argument is so stupid. There are so many guys that could come up from the AHL/ECHL/even lower leagues and beat up the toughest guys in the NHL. All you need is an enforcer who does his job well and isn't a complete liability on the ice, not the "best" fighter in the league.

Also it's funny to see the Islanders giving these AHL/ECHL goons playing time at the end of the season... normally teams will give young guys the chance, the Isles call up fighters and start beating everyone up LOL

Rage.... but we're a budget team, so it's the off-brand kind.
