In no particular order:

1)Naslund
2)Hossa
3)Murray
4)Tkachuk
5)Hejduk

Foppa 10-04-2003 04:06 PM

1) Hossa - Stronger than ever and ready to put his stamp on the league
2) Naslund - Can't argue with his consistancy
3) Kovalchuk - Sans Heatley, Ilya will take it up a notch...and he's got plenty notches left in the tank
4) Iginla - Slow start last year will be a distant memory
5) Hejduk - Might not hit 50 again with other weapons around, but will continue to flash hands of gold

Looger 10-04-2003 04:16 PM

1) Hejduk
2) Iginla
3) Naslund
4) Modano
5) Tkatchuk

willie 10-04-2003 04:55 PM

1. Jagr - Bounce back year for JJ.
2. Iginla - CGY's main weapon will put up 50+.
3. Palffy - Chemistry with Stumpel puts him right up there.
4. Naslund - Keeps on doing it.
5. Fedorov - I really see Feds having a HUGE year offensively.

monster_bertuzzi 10-04-2003 05:27 PM

Goal scorers right? Then why do some of you mention Mike Modano? You need about 40+ goals if you want to reach the top 5, and I don't see Modano improving his 28 goals of last year all that much. I do expect Guerin to have a solid year.

1) Iginla
2) Naslund
3) Hossa
4) Hedjuk
5) Jagr
5) Bertuzzi
6) Murray
7) Thornton
8) Kovalchuk
9) Guerin
10) Heatley

Sure I can.. I expect him to adjust his overall game and sacrafice a tiny bit of his O. 35 Goals is a realistic shot, especially when you consider that I feel Kovalchuk will enjoy a much better season offensive wise.

Ironchef Chris Wok* 10-04-2003 11:54 PM

in no order..

Nazzy
Bert
Sakic
Hossa
Thornton

So I assume you missed the news that Heatley has a completely torn ACL? Unless we are talking about the 2004-2005 top ten scorers here.

Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet, other than the examination of his knee revealed full tears of the ACL, MCL, and meniscus. But I would say 6 months is a conservative estimate given the case history of that injury.

They wont be sure until they slice and dice but you can safely erase him from this years top 5.
