Well That Does It For The Preseason

Here are the player stats

Not to shabby for a preseason....anyone have predictions on the lineup?

If all players were healthy, this would be my guess for the roster:

McAmmond - Conroy - Iginla
Gelinas - Reinprecht - Kobasew
Saprykin - Yelle - Donovan
Dome - Betts - Clark

Ex: Lowry, Oliwa

Leopold - Regehr
Lydman - Warrener
Ference - Gauthier

Ex: Commodore

Turek
Krahn

I think Dome deserves a spot ahead of Green, but whether Sutter does is a different story. Reinprecht is day-to-day with his shoulder, so Lombardi may stay in Calgary to start the season. Commodore looks to have won the 7th defenseman spot narrowly from Montador, with Wallin further down the depth chart. McLennan has been awful and I think Sutter will look for anyway to rid him from the Flames. Not sure whether Krahn will remain as backup. Sabourin didn't perform well enough in the pre-season, and Krahn will probably need lots of playing time, which he can only get in the minors. I think we may see Sutter trade for a backup. Nurminen from Atlanta or Kiprusoff/Toskala from San Jose would be my guesses if Sutter was to make a deal.

This is the way I'd like to see the roster when everyone is healthy. Lombardi likely takes the roster spot of Reinprecht till he comes back. Dome will be out of position, but I think he'd do whatever it took to stay.

McAmmond - Conroy - Iginla
Saprykin - Reinprecht - Dome
Gelinas - Betts - Kobasew
Green - Yelle - Donovan
Extra's: Oliwa, Clark
Cut: Lowry, Lombardi

Regehr - Leopold
Warrener - Lydman
Gauthier - Ference
Extra: Commodore
Cut: Wallin, Montador

Turek
McLennan
Cut: Krahn

After Sutters glowing comments about Lowry, I doubt that he is going to get cut.

I can agree with you there, I really disagree with Sutter on this one, but hey he knows more about the interworkings of the team than me :D

If Lombardi's in for Rienprecht, you can bet that Lowry will play. Sutter will want more vetrean prescence to go with the rookie.
This injury really messes up the lines, but this is how I see them for opening night

Mc A Conny Iggy
Gelinas Betts Kob
Sap Yelle Don
Lowry Lomb Dome

With Rien's injury, we quickly lose depth at centre. I don't think Betts is ready for 2nd line duty. Watch for a line of Sap Lom/Betts Dome as they all have chemistry together already from last year.
When healthy here's my lines

Mc A Conny Iggy
Gel Rien Kob
Sap Yelle Don
Green Betts Clark
