Is Bulis going to do anything this year?

I keep waiting for a breakout year from this guy (like Zednick finally did) but it never happens.

What about this year?

Thanks

Ahhhhhhhhhh.........what about last season? Probably was our most improved and best all around player in 2002-03, he is just at the tip of the iceberg right now, the confidence and skill is there,he just needs the quality ice time and some PP to be a 20 + scorer too. ;)

I think he could have close to 50 pts this season. wich would be fine imo.

I forgot, a player is only good when he has 100 points in a season

I don`t think a 50 point season is out of the question, I think he`ll be relied on for alittle bit more of an offencive role and this year could be the year he has a Zednik like breakout. Altho I was plenty happy with his season last year 40 points aint to bad in my books.

I think he will be close to 20 goals. + around 30 assists will be great for him.

If Bulis could learn to finish off a little better, I think he could become a steady 50-60 points/year player.

If Bulis plays on the first two lines and on the power play he could be due for a big season. The problem in the past was that therrien put him on the deffensive line with juneau and dackell and that dosent help him. He still played very good hockey. If you put him with a ribeiro who are both do to big years, they can some noise. Bulis has talent, has speed its time for the habs to give him a chanche on the first two lines. Last year when cj removed him from juneau and dackell he showed some promise.

Why is everybody judging Bulis solely on his offence and point totals? I think he’s a complete player who doesn’t need to get more than 30 pts to contribute. IMO Bulis is ideally suited for third line position. He’s good defensively, fast, works hard and can add some timely offence. Right now, because we’re so short on top 6 talent, he is taking on a more offensive role. But if we turn into a contender in the next few years, Bulis will be a great 3rd liner for us.

I agree, but disagree. Bulis has teh potential to be a good "habs 1st line player" because he does posses the skills for it. I don't want him to turn out like Sundstrom and lose the ability. But none the less, if he does become a defencive specialist, there is nothing wrong with that, but we need offence now more then ever.

I agree that we need offence from him right now, but ideally he would be a third line guy. I'm thinking a Maltby/Draper/Lapointe type of guy. Someone who always works hard and shuts down the opposing teams top line as well provide some energy and chip in with some goals at key times.

I'm not downgrading him at all, if a team is to win a cup, guys like Bulis are just as important as your 1st line centre. I just don't think his offensive skills are good enough to be a top 6 forward on a contending team.
