finley is evidently out for roughly two weeks for some injury...if anyone hears what the injury is let us know, hope it's not that old groin problem he had before

It's going to be a rough year from them. You don't lose your two best defenseman and three best offensive defenseman and expect to repeat as a contender.

Oh and they've lost their best forward in Gamache.

you take 15 penalites and you're gonna lose anywhere.. oh well at least it's good to see upshall get on the board, and good to see segal seems to have continued to improve

Don't label me as a Tootoo basher or anything...just an observation...but I don't think he's going to get too serious of a look at being recalled soon when he doesn't take advantage of his opportunity to round out his game and get quality minutes in Milwaukee and winds up getting thrown out of the game in the first minute for boarding. Anyone know if he is going to face a suspension for the hit?

I also noticed last night that Finley was out...I'm interested to see what the injury is as well. But in the interim, how has Pekka looked? I know he is 0-3, but...how has he looked?

AdmiralPred 10-17-2005 10:04 AM

Pekka was pretty good in the opener on Friday against the Moose, Brookbank blew an assignment that led to the only goal of the game. I didn't get to listen the the Baron's game but it looked like the Ads took a lot of penalties again, they have spent a ton of time shorthanded so far this season.

Yes, it's going to be a "long season' for them this year, the D is revamped, Gamache probably won't be in Milwaukee this year, Hrkac may have retired (I don't beleive there was an official announcement but, he isn't playing anywhere), and this is not a complaint but, the Ads don't have that "vet" goaltender as a starter or a backup. It was nice having Kotyk and Flaherty around thae past few seasons. Rinne is going to have to cut his teeth and Finley needs to stay healthy.

Tootoo penalty was tough early on now that only 19 dress for AHL games this year.
