In honor of klingsor, where are the Rangers finishing?

Thanks, Singin'.

Unfortunately I got so upset about messing up my poll, I forgot how I was gonna vote.

#37-#93-#27* 10-09-2003 01:25 PM

6th!

Davisian 10-09-2003 01:38 PM

I voted 6th, but I still think there will be a tissue thin difference between teams 4-10..

Safir* 10-09-2003 01:52 PM

This year the Rangers are lucky SOB's. #8 spot in the E.

If we make the playoffs it would be because we performed not luck.

JCProdigy 10-09-2003 04:05 PM

I vote for Arnold.....oh wait....wrong poll. Honestly this team has a chance to finish everywhere from a top four seed to once again out of the playoffs. To try and guess would simply be folly and ultimately a waste of one's time. I vote 7th place.

Hire Sather 10-09-2003 05:41 PM

ill go 6th.

Kodiak 10-09-2003 05:58 PM

6th

Ottawa, Philly, New Jersey, Toronto, and the SE winner are pretty much locks to finish ahead of us. Of the rest of the Eastern teams, no one really impresses me. Boston and the Isles finished ahead of us, but they both took steps back in the offseason. Of the other teams in the thick of it last year, no one really took a step forward. If the Sather-Renney system is remotely effective, we should make the playoffs.

John Flyers Fan 10-09-2003 06:30 PM

I voted 7th, but they could finish anywhere from 5th to 10th.

donpaulo 10-09-2003 07:31 PM

I went with fishler's guess and voted 4th overall in the east

Brooklyn Ranger 10-09-2003 09:36 PM

I have them out of a playoff spot until they prove otherwise.

Larry Melnyk 10-10-2003 04:41 AM

What Brooklyn said......

Until....
1) Lindros can prove he's is no longer the Big Eunich and stays in the action
2)Sather can prove that he can handle Messier and limit his time
3) The 2nd line can prove it ios an average NHL 2nd line
4) Dunham can prove he's a CONSISTENT top goalie
5) The team and defense focuses on defense
6) Ice time is rewarded on merit
7) Young energy and enthusiasm is incorporated into the line-up
8) Sather contstruct his best third line possible with Barnaby rather then accomodating Messier

Too many "Untils" for me....9th in the East...

I'm with you Brooklyn.

Fletch 10-10-2003 07:05 AM

6th place...

from the bottom, wherever that may be.

Fletch--is that all you wrote? Or is there something else not showing up (like a subject line)??? I only see what was quoted above. Thanks.

Shadowtron 10-10-2003 11:21 AM

I went 9th. Like the others who voted ninth, I have to see the product before I give it a vote of confidence. They've done nothing these last 6 years to have it any other way.

I say 6th. Although I sure hope it is higher.

"6th place..." is in the subject line.

I can't see it either (as it's black print on dark blue), unless I start to "copy" the whole page. Then it shows up as white print on a blue backround.

Of course, that means Fletch also picks them for 9th place.

I sure hope there's room for you guys and gals on the Rangers' Bandwagon when we start to roll. :joker:

Thanks for clearing that up. It was driving me crazy.

As for the "bandwagon": I'll believe when I see it. Until then...

I'm going to take the THN view and say that the law of averages says we'll get in. Everyone makes the playoffs eventually. Even Chicago got in one year, and they're a bigger mess than we are.

The East is pretty open. Like Kodiak said, you've got Ottawa, Philly, Jerey, Toronto and the SE winner (probably Tampa), then the rest. The Isles and Boston, to me, are huge question marks because of their goaltending. Washington certainly has the horses to get in. Atlanta might have had a shot if not for the recent tragedy. Buffalo is better, but not there yet. Montreal and Carolina are longshots, Pittsburgh is a no-shot. The team I think could surprise a lot of people this year is Florida. I'm guessing Florida, the Rangers and Washington round out the top 8 this year.

Skroob* 10-10-2003 03:21 PM

9th place. Out of the playoffs, and still a sh!tty drafting position.

LiquidClown 10-10-2003 05:52 PM

You all are way to optimistic. Nothing has changed since last year.

12th place if that.

#37-#93-#27* 10-10-2003 07:07 PM

I change my vote to 11th.

The weather truly is fair today,

One game and you have completely given up on this team? Nice.
