General Motors Place - VAN

TV - HNIC

A very good preview from ESPN there. Check it out.

This should be a much better test for the Canucks & Oilers alike. Fans from both teams - play nice.

Canadian Chris 10-10-2003 02:41 PM

Canucks 5 - Naslund x2, Hank, Jovo and Mo

Edmonton 2 - Smyth and Hemsky

Oilers 3 @ Canucks 2

Oilers had bad luck last year. Better team, and a solid Canucks win means they will slack off for this one.

Course I want it to be 6-2 Vancouver... which could happen.

Nah your right Canuck fan. Oiler's win :).

I say 4-3 with the game going down to the final minute.

The only given in the game though is that Naslund scores at least one goal. I love Vancouver's new third line of Arvedsson-Linden-Cooke.

The Oiler's will surprise this year with or without Mike Comrie. They are one of the few teams that can truly roll four lines every night. Torres-Horcoff and Laraque were amazing in their first game.

Malmo_Mike 10-10-2003 04:26 PM

well at least this one isn't as early as the Calgary Vancouver gameday thread.

Canucks 3-1....Naslund continues to own Salo and pots 2.

Peter Griffin 10-10-2003 04:35 PM

4-3 Canucks.

Canucks- Naslund X 2, Jovo, Arvedson

Edmonton- York, Hemsky, Brewer

Like Mizral said, this game will be a better test for both teams compared to their first games. Edmonton always provides a tough opponent for the Nucks.

Mr. Canucklehead 10-10-2003 04:39 PM

Vancouver 5
Edmonton 4

Slightly more high scoring affair, each team getting 30+ shots. Vancouver's goals will be scored by Naslund, who will notch two, Henrik Sedin who will notch two both assisted by Danny and King and Trevor Linden. :D Oh how I wish.

canucksfan 10-10-2003 06:09 PM

4-2 Edmonton. Naslund gets one and Morrison.

Thalia 10-10-2003 06:23 PM

Canucks win in OT: 4-3

Keep out of penalty problems guys and things should go a lot better than the preseason matchups.

Naslund 1
Bertuzzi 1
Cooke 1
Ohlund OT winner

Nalyd Psycho 10-10-2003 11:02 PM

Hat trick by Artem "Current Canucks Points Leader" Chubarov!

PhillyNucksFan 10-11-2003 01:28 AM

4-2 Canucks

Herik Sedin scored his first goal, Mo scored 1, Jovo/Ohlun

Dvorak/Isbister for Edmonton!!

:D :D :D

DiggerDan 10-11-2003 07:45 AM

5-3 Canucks

Goals by D.Sedin, Naslund, Bertuzzi, Cooke, and Rutuu. For Edmonton Hesky, Smyth, and Smith.

tied 3-3 until midway through the third when Cooke puts Vancouver ahead on a short-handed goal. Rutuu seals it with an empty netter.(a stretch, I know, but what the hell! :yo: )

:handclap:

kmad 10-11-2003 08:36 AM

I predicted 5-3 Canucks on the Canucks 'predict the score' forum..

goals by bertuzzi, chubarov, king, sedin, naslund

SedinFan* 10-11-2003 09:18 AM

Why... Cloutier played really against Calgary and it's only the second game?

Where did you read/hear this from b/c I'll be kind of surprised if Hedberg gets the start. Me thinks Crow is up to something.

SedinFan* 10-11-2003 09:26 AM

Yes, Crow is up to something.

Equally playing the goaltenders like they said they would do.

incawg 10-11-2003 09:27 AM

I don't know that I agree with going to Hedberg after Cloutier played so well. It's not like these are back to back games.

LaLaLaprise 10-11-2003 09:41 AM

It is good to get both goalies into games early in the year.
Although with a day off between the last time Dan played i would have assumed he would be starting tonight and then Hedberg in game 3.

Reign Nateo 10-11-2003 09:55 AM

May as well get both goalies some action early, there is lot's of time in the year for hot and cold streaks.

The Oilers had a very strong game offensively their first time out, but it was against a team that just seems to refuse to work hard in the Sharks.

I'm predicting that the Canucks come out on top in this one.

Vancouver 5
Naslund 2, Morrison, Salo, Linden

Edmonton 3
Hemsky 2, York

Edonator 10-11-2003 11:18 AM

Bertuzzi will be the guest on the After Hours Show tonight after the game.

You can go to this site, post your question and maybe yours will get picked on the air.
