why'd you pull Zeus off the top line?

Because these are what the lines mostly looked like against the Flames, and that's what i usually go by, the previous game.

BTW, regarding the "Forsberg returning" thread that was closed, I believe the information was from Sportsnet news. Last evening's broadcast claimed that Forsberg would be returning to the line-up tonight. However, all other reports I've seen have said the contrary.

Loki 12-08-2005 12:39 PM

Wow you guys know how to put on a GDT. Nice job!

comcast has Forsberg saying yesterday that he was questionable for saturday...

With a tear there´s no chanse in h$ll Forsberg will dress for tonight. He´s already missed a few games, whats the rush. Philly will make the playoffs and his chanse for the scoringtitle is probably gone now anyway. (Ottawas topline will probably end up 1, 2 & 3)

I´m guessing atleast another week, that would atleast be the sensible way to go. If he plays now he´ll just run halfspeed anyway.

He's only four points out of first even with all the games he's missed.

bennysflyers16 12-08-2005 01:00 PM

Sportsnet did have a clip saying Foppa will be back tonight and how he is an Oiler killer, personally I hope he sits through the week-end.

Flyers 3 - Zeus, Ellison, Carter
Oilers 2 - Smyth, Moroeu

Art Vandelay 12-08-2005 01:01 PM

Stevenson and Seidenberg have been removed from the Flyers injured list:

:)

Stonehands77 12-08-2005 01:02 PM

Lion, I've been looking at GDTs here for a while, and yours are far and away the best (especially since I'm not on dial-up ;) ). Good work as always!

As for tonight, I'll be interested to see how Seidenberg and Stevenson fare in their returns. More importantly, I'd like to see NO MORE FREAKING INJURIES.

No predictions on scoring, as that is not my style (and I'd just jinx the Flyers anyway). Here's to them bringing the same intensity as the last game, and hopefully a goalie who won't be quite as good as Kipper was! :)

They probablly just read the "berg" in Seidenberg... :sarcasm:

Nice GDT. Very impressive.

Best damn game day thread ever.

Good luck tonight guys.

ugiswrong 12-08-2005 01:28 PM

FYI, Hitchcock was on WIP this morning with Cataldi around 8:00 AM and said that Esche will back up Niitymaki tonight.

AM 12-08-2005 01:41 PM

Very Nice GDT

I'm not sure Peca will be on the 3rd line though?

They may well keep the RPM line together. I guess it depends on whether Foresburg is back in?

I'm not going to predict a score(go Oilers:)) but I do predict a good game!

Esche should backup Frank for the rest of the season! :handclap:

haha.

Again, this is just what Hitch said on the radio this morning...whether Esche hurts himself at yoga or not this afternoon is unknown to me.

greatwhite101* 12-08-2005 02:08 PM

I do not want to see Forsberg play tonight. Let him rest and we need him 100% if not 120%. I'd rather see him in St.Louis game. Groins could be tricky sometimes.

Same game plan. Tight checking, patient, play safe or boring game. Less penalties and god... enough injuries. If OT would be nice a win would be perfect and if we lose no shame.
