Raycroft looked really good last night

Him along with the help of the posts last night shot down the Stars pretty well.

As the Stars banged shots off the posts 4 different times, I won't take that away from the kid. He had plenty of great saves against some very determined shooters.

Grats to the Bruins for thier first win. If last night is any indication of how this kid normally plays, maybe they should keep Potvin as a backup.

I think Raycroft must have made out with the posts before the game. 5 freakin shots were clanked off the suckers! lol

Was it 5? I thought 4. Either way he did a good job.

These losses frustrate me but doesn't make me wanna panic one bit as the Stars were easily the better one out there, just sometimes you need a little luck.

M=G,

I am not one of the bandwagoners who after our second loss say we're done for, so I know how ya feel.

But these types of losses do suck. It seems the team tries everything possible and some sort of forcefield keeps the puck from going in.

Even though the Stars lost, it was still a good game for us.

A good perfomance is all I'm asking, never mind when it's close to a domination.

Actually, this may sound weird but I rather dominate the hell out of the opponent for a few straight games and lose then win on pure luck while being humiliated shift after shift..

Though it's exactly vice versa for the playoffs though..

I don't think he is, in that case, due to the number of seasons.

That might be it. This is the only information i could find.

Raycroft have play a great game.

But if I would be a bruins fan, I dont think I would talk to much about this win.

Shots count is what?
26-12
I remember hearing on tv the shots Stop by defenses count was also something like:
16-3 in boston favor for something close to:
42-15 shots try in Dallas favor.

Add to this 4 (5?) shots on posts.
Add to this something you gonna see maybe 2-3 times this entire year: Modano + Guerin missing Empty net. I think Stevenson would scored 95 times out of 100 times for the position Guerin was!

I dont think Dallas has to be worry about this lost. Except if they are going to missed this number of scoring chances at every game this year... ;)

But still, Raycroft was pretty solid and as a habs fan: Those 2 points are robbery. I would have prefer a Dallas win even if it has actually help me a lot in my pool (Rolston 2 goals :D )

No need for Dallas fans to get that defensive on the thread about Andrew Raycroft.

No, Bruins fans are not proud of this win...but we are proud that our goaltending is getting better. It's not a pure luck and if you think so it means you didn't watch B's previous game and Andrew's brilliant saves.

Also B's have many new players on the team and they didn't have time to gel yet..I don't believe B's will playing like this all season long..they are good offensive team.

We always used to be on the other side..making 45 shots (specially with guerin on the team!!!) and losing the games because of shaky goaltending and "luck" of other teams....( 2001-2002 playoffs for example) and everybody was taking shots at us, right?

For once we have different situation..and yes I am glad we won. (2 points are 2 points any way you look at this, plus it was a road game).

I swear they called Potvin "Boston's backup" during the call of the game last night. :)

Raycroft has been very impressive thus far, kudos to him.
