Why is it that people think Lemieux always plays his best against the habs (case in point a new article on RDS.ca?). In 40 games against Montreal Lemieux has 26 goals 40 assists which is aprox. 1.65 points per game average...his points per game average in his CAREER is between 1.9 and 2.0...thats a "big" difference....its aprox. 1 less point every 3 games played....

he does play pretty well against the habs but i think those who think the habs will have it hard because he's playing them are wrong...if you average it out over time he's below his average when he plays the habs...sure there has been good teams when he's played the habs but there has been some awfull teams too...

He's played great vs the habs LATELY.

The header says "Lemieux Always at his best against the Canadiens" so no i dont think they meant lately since it says "Always"

Yeah, nothing has ever said "Lemieux always plays best against Islanders" and that's the team he's racked up his most points against. Something near 200 in 80 games (just a guess).
