Is torres a rookie?

I think he may be but I am not sure. He has played wo previous seasons, 14 games one year, 17 in the other.

I think the standard for being a rookie is no more than 25 games in a previous season and no more than 40 total previous nhl games.

To be eligible for the award, a player cannot have played more than 25 games in any single preceding season nor in six or more games in each of any two preceding seasons in any major professional league. The player must not be older than 26 years before September 15 of the season in which he is eligible.

According to the rules, he isn't eligible as he has played in six or more games in two separate seasons.

Stoll and MAB are both rookies though, and if MAB can keep up what he is doing, and maybe popping 25 points or so, I could see him getting some consideration for ROY.

...

Not if he doesn't play...MacT has apparently scatched him in favor of Semenov for the Colorado game.

It's a joke i know but its hard to develop, improve, and get consideration for the ROY if your wearing a suit in the pressbox.

Hopefully it is a short term deal...real short, otherwise i will be disgusted.
