Savage getting key minutes on the PP...WHY????

Looking at the stats from tonight's game vs. the Panthers, why is it that Savage got the 3rd most PP minutes among forwards? This really makes NO sense at all. Watching today's game, i can name 9 forwards who played today who deserved more PP time (Fropa, Gags, Knuble, Richards, Carter, Umberger, Zeus, Sim & Eager). So why is he getting this precious time?? He is unable to outwork the opposition...he unwilling to stand in front of the net to get in the way of the other goalie...he can't hit a net if his life counted on it...AND he has no playmaking abilities.

So WHY??? I am SUPER happy that the Flyers are winning games, but seeing some of the choices Hitch makes is incredibly frustrating. Hitch is smart enough to see what we see (he didn't allow Therrien on the ice for most of the last period and OT). So why does he keep going to the Savage well? Does he really think that Savage's bubble will eventually pop leading him to score a bunch of goals?

Anyone with any ideas? :help:
