Flyers now 2nd in the Eastern Conference

Standings are updated from tonight's games:

1. Ottawa 35 55
2. Philadelphia 36 51
3. Carolina 36 49
4. Buffalo 37 51
5. N.Y. Rangers 38 48
6. Toronto 37 43
7. Montreal 35 42
8. Tampa Bay 38 41

Very cool. Imagine when Pits, Rico, Esche and maybe Preems are back.

:yo: :yo:

We can increase that lead if we beat Carolina tomorrow night who is in 3rd.

I'm worried about tomorrow's game against Carolina. If we had the normal day off, we'd be fine, but we're playing the right after a hard game against Atlanta, so I'm not that sure if we can win.

I also think there's a chance Storr will be in net.

but carolina just played (and lost against) ottawa tonight. and i think they have a worse travel tonight. ottawa to carolina rather than atlanta to carolina.

Hungry, another way to look at the standing is winning percentage. Here is what I get (factor in OL and SL as "ties") and the standings would be:

1. Ottawa .786
2. Philadelphia .708
3. Buffalo .689 (4th seed)
4. Carolina .681 (3rd seed)
5. NYR .632
6. Montreal .600
7. Toronto .581
8. Tampa Bay .539
9. NYI .500
10. New Jersey .500
11. Atlanta .500
12. Boston .432
13. Florida .423
14. Washington .386
15. Pittsburgh .343

Irish Blues puts together a pretty involved collection of stats and cap info. It looks fairly involved but again, it's just a projected total with schedule difficulty figured in.

I am a little worried too. Canes did lose but this is our 2nd game in 2 days against two very fast hockey clubs on the road.
I do not think Storr will be in he net. I do not think there is a reason for it. Frank needs to come up big again and make Hitch decision even harder.

Unfortunately, I also think they'll stick with Niitty. He better eat his Wheaties.
