Official Game Thread: NY vs. FL

Hopefully we can notch one up in the win column tonight. Dunham has been hot.... maybe at least Lindros or Kovalev can join him.

shmekel 10-20-2003 10:47 AM

I have a feeling they're going to win, but that's only because I have to work late and won't be at the game.

are you saying you single handedly curse the Rangers with your presence? :p

Sather had better have his troops ready for a change, Keenan takes pleasure in winning in his returns to the Garden, you can bet he'll have his team ready to go. Plus, this is a 4-point game. Florida hung in the playoff race until the bitter end last year, and they'll be there again this year. We can't let these teams put us in a hole early.

BLACKBURN 10-20-2003 12:10 PM

I predict a 3-1 win for the rags, Lindros, Mirinov and maybe Lundy :dunno:

Ahh, finally one with the same problem as me! When I watch them live at MSG they loose, when I watch them at TV they loose and when I`m listening to them on the Radio they loose! I don`t know what it is!!?? Maybe I curse them as well? :dunno:

I`ve only seen them win like 1 or 2 games!
Bad news for you though. I`m staying up tonight!

When that is said...Let`s go Rangers!

Fletch 10-20-2003 12:54 PM

For me...

I finally got my tickets for the '97-98 season, the beginning of the skid. I got rid of my seasons to start this season...is that the end of the skid?

I dunno, but I think it all started when I moved to Manhattan shortly after Dallas Eakins and his "Great Ones" bowed out to the Flyers in 97'.. Now that I'm upstate, they might have what it takes to get to the playoffs..

On another note, I've got a game tonight, where's MY freakin' gamenight thread??????

Oh, that's right, nobody cares about old men, with fleeting, if any talent lace 'em up and play a sloppy game.. Ummm wait a minute.. I guess that's unless they're being (over)paid to do it..

I'm gonna miss the game unfortunately and probably the first period, I think the Rangers will get their first win tonight though.

I was right with Lindros scoring last game, I think he scores again, Kovalev and Lundmark each net one as well. I think Dunham will have another spectacular game.

Barnaby 10-20-2003 02:41 PM

they have to win eventually....

shmekel 10-20-2003 03:07 PM

I've come to the conclusion that if they're going to win, maybe none of us should even be thinking about the game tonight! :p

Well fellas and ladies chear and jeer for me tonight. Tonight's game is one of the two I can't watch because my brilliant cable company decided to blackout ALL Panther games AND all Lightning games. Living in Florida and I can't even watch either of the teams  There goes my plan to become a Panther fan :rolly: :p

I've noticed the same thing when I listen to these games. But hey, I've also noticed that the Rangers in general tend to lose A LOT of games every year (in the past 5-6 years). So I wouldn't put the losses down to fans...like some other people have done. Or bad sticks....

Anyhow, here we go again....LET'S GO RANGERS !!

shmekel 10-20-2003 03:12 PM

There ya go, E!

shmekel 10-20-2003 03:36 PM

Lindros scores two games in a row, that's a good sign.

#37-#93-#27* 10-20-2003 04:39 PM

Luongo lets a softy get by him, 2-0 Rags. Poti gets the goal with 7 seconds left in the second.

Fire Sather 10-20-2003 04:47 PM

I think Graves and Hull for trivia answer.

What was the question?

nyr5186 10-20-2003 05:07 PM

Lindros is out of the game with an apparant shoulder injury. He's having x-rays right now, which wont be announced until after the game.

Here's hoping its nothing major.

Better the shoulder than the head.

The Rangers get their first win. I didn't pay attention to much of the game but it sounded like Dunham played well again!
