Quotable:

"I think everybody makes mistakes, and you like to see people get a second chance. He's certainly moving in the right direction. Joe, to me, seems a little more relaxed and outgoing. He's always been competitive, but now he's a little more confident as well." - Dave Taylor on Joe Corvo

  • Pavol Demitra (deep leg bruise) has begun skating for the first time in nearly two weeks.

For some reason I have a good feeling about this game. 3-1 Kings.

That wouldn't have to anything to do with Miller (the player or the beer, take your pick), would it? ;)

Actually it's both. :D

And my last name is Miller too.

Oilers lines from last night...

Smyth-Horcoff-Hemsky
Harvey-Peca-Dvorak
Moreau-Reasoner-Pisani
Torres-Stoll-Laraque

Staios-Smith
Bergeron-Pronger
Ulanov-Greene

Nobody from last night's lineup was involved in any of today's trades. Pittsburgh's newest acquisitions, Cross and Rita, are not in their lineup, so the Oilers lines may not change, with the exception of Ales Hemsky; he left the 3rd period with an injury, and it is undetermined if he will be playing tonight.

The Oilers have exactly 12 forwards on their roster, so there isn't a healthy forward to be inserted in place of Hemsky if he is indeed out with an injury.

The Oilers pre-game notes included this update...
ROSTER UPDATES: Edmonton: Ales Hemsky (ankle) is questionable.

I know those deals just barely went down today. But at the time of the deals, i'm wondering if Tarnstrom or Spacek would make it. They would both be flying into pacific time, and LAX ain't to far??????????? :dunno:

Very good deals today by the Oil.

Steve_KINGS27 01-26-2006 08:53 PM

Miller will make a huge presence tonight with HUGE hits and i think he'll get 2 assists ;) GO KINGS GO!

riznat 01-26-2006 09:01 PM

anyone else feel that getting miller back is like christmas?

actually the next few weeks should be like hannukuh (sorry if i murdered that spelling)

one day we get miller, a day or two later we get roenick, hopefully a few days after , belanger and/or demitra!

we need these points
and we certainly dont need to give the oilers any.

GO KINGS GO!

I agree, hopefully we can get all of these guys back in a week tops. Getting Miller back is really going to help us, especially on the PK. He really was our best Penalty killer IMO. With Miller back, I think we can expect our other d-men to step up and be more confident in their jobs.

GO KINGS GO!!!

Hey Joe - Dude!

When it come to self-expression, you better learn to talk because the 'do ain't doing it....

He seems to be very insecure.

PSP 01-26-2006 10:34 PM

Maybe I just didn't see it before, but it seems that Bob Miller is propping up the excuses before the game even starts.

What's this about "4th game in 6 nights", etc?

PSP 01-26-2006 10:40 PM

Well, that didn't take long

PSP 01-26-2006 10:40 PM

Not Don Kozak fast, but fast.......

Riposte! 01-26-2006 10:41 PM

I was hesitant at first.

But now you have my permission to fire Andy Murray. Someone do it right now, before we even get to 5:00 into the first.

Please?

LuckyLUC20 01-26-2006 10:49 PM

I think the Kings are totally shooting for the worst PK in the league.

Rob Stauber* 01-26-2006 10:59 PM

Nice penalty on the opening goal by Conroy. Way to go Craig!

swinginutter* 01-26-2006 11:27 PM

Kings need some major sniffing salt! Let's go boys!

johnjm22 01-26-2006 11:37 PM

The Kings look flat. Just like the past 4 games.

What's it gonna take to get this team to wake up?
