• Dallas is 69-6-6 when leading after the 1st Period since Dave Tippett took over as Stars head coach three seasons ago. Dallas is 17-1-1 this season.
• Dave Tippett is 118-58-28-8 as the head coach of the Dallas Stars with the 2-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings Saturday night.
• With three goals againist the Sharks, Dallas has now kept from being shut out in 68 consectutive games. Dallas's last shut out was againist Detroit in the 03-04 season on March 13th, in a 3-0 game. In the Stars 49 games this season, only three teams (Detroit 4-1, Phoenix 4-1, Minnesota 2-1) have kept the Stars from scoring atleast two goals in the game. This is the longest the team has gone without being shutout since they moved to Dallas in 1993. The previous mark was held by the inaugural 1993-94 Dallas Stars squad who were first shutout in their 38th contest of the season. The franchise mark for consecutive games from a start of a season without being shutout is held by the 1982-83 team who were shutout only once and that came in their 79th game.
• The Dallas Stars are now 8-0 in shootouts this season, having beaten Colorado in Denver on Nov. 5 (2-0), the Sharks in San Jose on Nov. 12 (2-0), the Hurricanes on Dec. 2 (2-1) in Dallas, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Jan. 6 (2-1) in Dallas, the Boston Bruins on Jan. 14th (1-0) in Boston, the Blues on Jan. 25th (2-0) in Dallas, the Avalanche in Denver on Jan. 26th (2-1), and the Red Wings on Jan. 28th (3-2) in Dallas. Jussi Jokinen is eight for eight during the shootouts and Marty Turco is 13 of 16 in net for the Stars. Dallas is now one of only two teams to not lose in the shoot out, the other team is Los Angeles. Detroit lost their first shoot out againist the Stars.
• When trailing after one period, the Stars are 10-10-1 on the season. And when trailing after two periods, the Stars are now 8-12-0 on the season. The 10 wins when trailing after 1 period is the best in the NHL this season and the 10 wins when trailing after 2 periods is also the best in the NHL this season. Dallas has won 21 games this season when falling behind some point during the game.
• Jussi Jokinen's selection to Team Finland was the Stars' 7th player on the team to be selected. Other selections are Mike Modano (USA), Bill Guerin (USA), Marty Turco (Canada), Niko Kapanen (Finland), Antti Miettien (Finland), and Jere Lehtinen (Finland).
• Dallas is 8-0-1 this season when scoring four goals, and 14-0-0 when allowing one goal. The Stars also have posted a 33-4-1 record this season when allowing three goals or less. Their record is the third best in the NHL.
• Dallas was able to get the first goal in the game. The 3rd time in the past 14 games that the opponents haven't scored first.
• The Stars will play a total of 15 back-to-back series in 2005-06. The Stars are currently 15-5-0 in games included in back-to-backs this season, including 8-2-0 in the second contest. The Stars came back to beat the Blues 4-3 last night and also came back to beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in Denver. The Stars are 7-3-0 in the first game while 8-2-0 in the second.
• With the three shoot outs, the Stars competed in their first ever back-to-back-to-back shoot out games. The Stars have never lost a shoot out game in francise history, one of two teams in the NHL to still hold that accomplishment. Dallas competed in their fourth consectutive extra session game Monday vs the Sharks, another victory for the Stars.

All Star Game 2007 - Texas Size - 356 Days Till The All Star Game
The National Hockey League, in conjunction with the Dallas Stars and American Airlines Center, announced on Monday, January 23 that the Dallas Stars will host the 2007 NHL All-Star Celebration, January 22-24, 2007, at American Airlines Center and venues throughout the area. The 55th NHL All-Star Game will be played at American Airlines Center on Wednesday evening, January 24, 2007. The arena will also hold the NHL SuperSkills and the YoungStars Game on Tuesday, January 23. There will also be a Monday All-Star event at American Airlines Center, with planning currently in its infancy stages. More details on the Monday event will be announced at a later date. This will mark the first non-weekend NHL All-Star events since 1989 when the 40th NHL All-Star GAme was played in Edmonton on a Tuesday. The All Star Game that will be coming to Dallas in the 2007 season will be the 10th All Star Game all time in the State of Texas and the first for the National Hockey League. The game will follow the traditional East vs. West format, rather than the North America vs. World format that was used from 1998-2002.
