It was a clean hit.

bennysflyers16 02-22-2006 02:09 PM

Was not knee to knee, was hip to thigh, looks like a bad charlie horse.

ps

I would not trade Brash for Rick Nash, he is TERRIBLE !

Eternity Is Now 02-22-2006 02:11 PM

It was a clean hit from kasparitis. he went in *** first and hit gagne's knee, from what i saw. signature from kasparitis. looks like bad luck for gagne, hopefully we'll see him back.

cheers

Knee to knee, lol. Try hip to hip.

It was a hip check. if a hip check was a dirty hit, then this would be women's hockey

BringBackStevens 02-22-2006 02:21 PM

whatever.

it definitly looked lower than hip to hip
knee to knee was not the best way to describe it... but gagne's knee definitly looked like it took a blow in the process... hoping its not the case

i probobly jumped the gun out of frustration, but i still dont like that lowish crap as players are injured 9/10 times from it

:(

HoverCarle* 02-22-2006 02:22 PM

it looked kinda knee-to-hip to me

JR#9* 02-22-2006 02:22 PM

probrably just a charlie horse for Simon...being a NYR fan obviously I dislike the Flyers but you don't want to see ANY teams players hurt in the Olympics.

The reason most players are injured from it is because they anticipate the hit and try to avoid it, which puts them in vulnerable positions. I have to admit it is a shame to see your top scorer possibly out for a reasonable amount of time.

GKJ 02-22-2006 02:24 PM

It's his leg, and they expect him to return. He'll probably be the 13th forward

Eternity Is Now 02-22-2006 02:28 PM

gagne's back on the bench, expected to return, good news

cheers

BringBackStevens 02-22-2006 02:28 PM

hes back...

jesus i almost had a heart attack earlier

BloodOnTheIce 02-22-2006 02:40 PM

hopefully just a helluva bruise

Vodka Drunkenski 02-22-2006 02:58 PM

Glad to hear he's back...it was proabably a bad charlie horse.

Ex Storm 02-22-2006 03:06 PM

The slow-motion replays shows clear contact with Gagne's knee. Not saying it was dirty, but it was an unnecessary hip-check - I've never seen a hip check down by the goalie line.

Gagne came back, played one 10 second shift on the PK and one even strength shift and hasn't played again.

Nikkowar 02-22-2006 03:47 PM

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Roger's Pancreas* 02-22-2006 03:49 PM

Add Kasparitis to players that should be knee capped in coming weeks.

Ex Storm 02-22-2006 03:58 PM

Gags didn't play after about 3 minutes into the second. CBC said it wasn't "serious" but I call ******** until he gets back to Philly and we find out that it is serious.

TheKingPin 02-22-2006 04:59 PM

Hopefully it is repairable by the time the season starts. Kasparitis is gonna get killed one day. Dirty russians.
