Hasek's out...

OTTAWA -- Ottawa Senators goalie Dominik Hasek said there's "very little chance" he'll be able to play when the NHL season resumes March 1 and isn't sure when he'll return from a groin injury that forced him to withdraw from the Olympics. "Of course I'm worried, I'll be honest," the 41-year-old said Tuesday as he met with reporters for the first time since returning from the Torino Games. Hasek was hurt in the first period of the Czech Republic's opening game last week. The concern is Hasek may not be able to bounce back in time for the stretch run and the playoffs. "When I made a save I felt a really sharp pain and I knew right away that it's bad," he said. "It's hard to describe, it's a little bit different than in the past ... it's like three or four inches from the experience I had before." That sucks for Ottawa. Hope the Dominator gets back in it, partially for the reason that IF Lundqvist wins anything, it wont be "because Dominator was hurt" or anything... |
That's odd, I had just heard a day ago that Hasek was going to be fine in a week or two.
