2006 draft
Its time to start looking at the draft. Assuming we get a top 15 pick (looking likely) who should we target? Do we try to fill holes (defenseman with size, first line scoring forward) or should we go best player available? Who do you think will be the best player available?

Honestly I kind of want to fall towards pick 10 if possible unless we can make a serious playoff run (which I dont think we can). I dont think we should tank it I just dont think we have enough talent to make the playoffs and if we do we will be bounced in round one. The Backstrom kid from Sweden is the guy I hope falls to us, everything Ive read he seems to be able to add a lot of what we need. anyone else have any ideas?

Backstrom looks to be going top 5, producing at a young age in the SEL ..wowsa..

Wild will look at these players imo...picking btwn 11-16

Bobby Sanguinetti- D man- OHL

Bryan Little- C- OHL

Kyle Okposo - USHL- Gopher Recruit...winger

Nigel Williams- US Developmental team- Massive D man

Jiri Tlusty- Sniper from Czech

Michael Forney- UND Recruit, big 6"3 winger, in mn hs league

Francois Bouchard is in this draft, he's PMB's little ( bug bigger) brother. he's scoring like 2ppg in the qmjhl and is ranked #33 overall in the draft, and moving up.

I doubt we take him, but something to look at.
