go to eliteprospects at HF and you can read about him; Kirk gives the best review- and yesterday he picked up an assist in a 6-2 win. Going by what I read I think you'll see him signed this offseason if there is a season and playing regularly in Boston in 2004-2005; Norris Trophy in 2009 :joker: ; hey, I'll take the Kim Jonsson comparison but even then I've read where his upside is beyond that.

I can't believe they'd give Al Pedersen's jersey to Jonsson; maybe they figure it has plenty of points left in it. Pedersen may have been the nicest guy ever to come down the pike but he certainly was the poster boy for #6 defensman.

I was never a big Al Pederson fan, but I guess looking back he wasnt a bad#6 guy. Fred Cusick, however, was his #1 fan by far.

I think I learned to appreciate him after I watched a handful of Jarno Kultanen games.

Big Al is one way to look at it, Dan.

Another way is Jason Allison. That one works a little better, even though Lars is without question a far superior skater to Allison...

But, he wears No. 34 in Sweden. My guess is that if the B's don't manage to re-sign Bryan Berard (and it's looking less and less a possibility each day) and nobody else has that number at the next training camp, Jonsson will be wearing those digits on his back.

Link to SEL scores and stats

Here's a link to the Swedish Elite League, you can find onlines scoring and league and team stats.

http://www.swehockey.se/matcher/online/default.htm

Click on the word "Elitserien" in blue in the upper left hand corner and that will get you to the SEL main page. From there you can:

1.) Click on "Division Round Games" in blue and you can see SEL game results by date.

2.) Click on "Players by Team" and then "Leksands" to get Lar's team stats.

3.) Click on "Defensemen Scoring Leaders" and you'll see Lars is #7 in Defensemen scoring in the SEL!!

He's playing well.

Has a few points, but most important- is getting ice time in all situations and gaining experience.

Looks like he's turned the corner and is going to cost the Bruins more money than if he'd caved and signed their original below-market value offer for a top-10 pick.

But, I'm sure they'll sign him and bring him over next season. He'll be 22.
