From the Dallas Morning News..

Quote:

Janne Niinimaa's twisted left ankle could get Stephane Robidas back into the six-defenseman rotation against Anaheim. Robidas has been scratched in the last four games, and coach Dave Tippett does not want him to sit for an extended period. ... Backup goalie Johan Hedberg probably will get at least one start on the five-game homestand that opens tonight. Starter Marty Turco has appeared in 20 of the last 21 games, sandwiched around a trip to Italy for the Winter Olympics. ... Iowa forward Junior Lessard, who could get a late-season promotion, has four goals and 10 points in his last nine AHL games.

Azdinator 03-20-2006 12:54 AM

Nice to see Robi is back against anaheim.. I really like this player.
It's awesome, sometime I get nervous because of some Dmen on the ice, with the stars line-up for this year, I didn't get anytime nervous.

Ducksforcup 03-20-2006 01:01 AM

Just wanted to say that the thread looks really nice. :)

Should be a good game. GL guys. :)

Wow. Thanks for that update Lobo, I didn't realize we had that many milestones coming. Hopefully all of them will be broken by the end of the season, how exciting would that be?

Ruutu15 03-20-2006 11:05 AM

gonna be a good game tonight, ducks really need to take this game, playoffs on the line for em and they need to set the tone for the rest of the stars games this season.
let's go stars.

sharksohnoes! 03-20-2006 11:18 AM

please beat the quacks. we need it. If Madano scores goals like the tying goal he had against the sharks the other day, i dont think you will have a problem.

No Problem. Thats without all the shoot out records we've set also. :D

Dallas needs to win this, whether Hedberg is in net or not, I dunno but Anaheim is a team going into the playoffs that we could face in the first round, not to mention after today we still have 3 more games with them in the next month a half.

We need to prove we can win. We've beaten LA, we proved that. We've beaten San Jose, we proved that. Now time to beat another Pacific Division team and clinch our 7th title in the past 9 years.

Stars99Lobo37 03-20-2006 02:13 PM

Guess what jerseys we get tonight baby!

O yes! The freakin 3rd jerseys...ugh. Only one more time after tonight though. DallasStars.com says we're also scheduled to wear it on April 3rd vs San Jose.

Ajacied 03-20-2006 02:16 PM

Bad feeling about this one.. Stars are coming off a good stretch, beating some heavy teams. They might think too lightly of the Ducks, especially seeing as how they are 4-0-0 against them so far. They might come out too cocky..

3-1 Ducks..

Yeah how about you guys take a night off here! Ducks sure need these points much more than you guys!

Here is to an exciting one tonight!

Walzy 03-20-2006 04:44 PM

well with Niinimaa scratched, we can't lose against the ducks :sarcasm:

starshockeyfan56 03-20-2006 05:23 PM

It'll be nice to see Robidas in the lineup again tonight.

f1nn 03-20-2006 05:46 PM

oh man this'll be a great game and im gunna be there watching it!! 2 of my favorite teams.. i sorta hope anaheim wins just bc i wanna see them get into the play offs

Stars99Lobo37 03-20-2006 06:04 PM

If we win tonight the magic number is down to 13. Right now it's at 17.

We have 15 games left and 93 points. We can get 30 more points coming out to 123 points.
Los Angeles has 13 games left and 79 points. They can get 26 more points adding up to 105 points.

If we went on that it would be 12 points.

But here comes Anaheim.
Anaheim has 16 games left and 78 points. They can get 32 more points totaling up to 110 points.

So right now it's at 17 points.
So if Anaheim loses tonight and we win, they can only get 108 points. We would have 95 points if we win tonight. Bring the magic number down to 13.

Good man! :yo:

starshockeyfan56 03-20-2006 06:50 PM

I'm not sure if I want Anaheim to get in so they can be bounced in the first round, or just miss the playoffs. I'm still bitter about 2002-2003.
