preds at quackers, GDT

ducks are hot, so are we.

SOMETHING MUST GIVE!!

Fiddler back tonight, but is it worth putting him in the lineup? Perreault also back either tonight or tomorrow.

The Ducks are also one of only five Western Conference teams to have beaten us more than once this season.

GO PREDS GO!!!

LET'S GO DUCK HUNTING!!!!

jstreet 03-24-2006 10:23 AM

You know what's nice about this game? If we win, we keep rolling, if we lose, then well we still have a good lead on 5th place. It's nice to not be struggling for 8th place this year.

Hopefully not tonight, he has killed the ducks this year.

we also have some great chemistry going right now, I dont know what throwing these guys back in will do to it.

golfmade 03-24-2006 01:46 PM

This should be a hard hitting game, I think it'll be a high scoring affair as well (just not as many goals as the Cgy game)

Ducksforcup 03-24-2006 03:55 PM

Should be an excellent game. Two of the hottest teams in the league. :yo:

GL guys. :)

PredDave 03-24-2006 04:55 PM

Our franchise has only scored one hat trick on the road in its' existence (by Rob Valicevic in Chicago back in 1999, I think?).

Tonight, I am predicting a rare, double hat trick! 3 goals by Kariya and 3 goals by Sullivan. Also, a goal each by Fiddler, Witt, and Tootoo round out the night.

Prediction 9-7. :D

handtrick 03-24-2006 06:24 PM

I would predict if Trotz puts Fiddler in tonight as the paper discussed....I would say Smithson sits.

Trotz will rotate who sits taking into account a number of things, to let the injured return and give some guys some rest.

When Perreault returns.....Legwand [I wish Johnson, but I doubt Trotz will do it]will sit

Markov/Eaton.....Weber, Suter or Hamhuis sit

Walker.....Upshall, Erat, or Nichol sit

His whole focus will be to use the remaining games to get these injured players game ready, keep the current starters game ready, trying to keep the same momentum going, and checking out different chemistry combos.....

Hard to see how Trotz keeps the momentum going given all the above objectives, but at least our schedule is conducive to some flexibility..

barrytrotzsneck 03-24-2006 06:28 PM

I doubt, like, really doubt, Legwand sits outright, regardless of who comes back...unless his knee is really giving him problems.

From a medical point of view....Legwand's knee would benefit from periodic breaks until playoff time....

In one of the Trotz interviews it sounded as if he was maybe going to rest Legwand in one game of a back to back.

PeterAngelo 03-24-2006 08:57 PM

I see this as a round 1 playoff preview as i think it will be the #4 preds vs the #5 ducks.

Hopefully the preds put in a good showing tonight.

vopatsrash 03-24-2006 09:00 PM

willy just said it looks like fiddler is in and legwand is out for tonight.

barrytrotzsneck 03-24-2006 09:10 PM

i'd almost rather see scott nichol in the top six than fiddler.

Drury77 03-24-2006 09:47 PM

SCORE SULLY!!!!!

Nitrous Mafia 03-24-2006 09:48 PM

Sullivan scored off a long pass from Sillinger.

irisheyes555 03-24-2006 09:49 PM

i luvs me some no 2 line pass rule...... :yo: :yo: :yo:

Nitrous Mafia 03-24-2006 09:50 PM

woo hoo

barrytrotzsneck 03-24-2006 09:54 PM

Sully!

Remember when he couldn't hit a breakaway to save his life?

Hopefully this turns momentum, because we look AWFUL in our own end, early.

barrytrotzsneck 03-24-2006 10:05 PM

We've got to figure out what to do against that Selanne\McDonald line.

We're owning every other line, and at last count, we were outshooting the Ducks 15-3, but we're doing way too much of the weak clearing and unforced turnovers in our end.

X0ssbar 03-24-2006 10:05 PM

Hey guys. Just checking out this game on Center Ice and figured I'd chime in.

Is it me or could Andy McDonald be Sullivan's twin - not in looks per say buy build and style of play. Imagine a line combo of Sullivan - McDonald - Kariya. Talk about speed and skill.

Man I'm so jealous of Nashville's transition game. Just sick.

Enoch 03-24-2006 10:09 PM

What did Suter do? I really don't get how he took a penalty there...
