Washington

Do you think a deal of #54 or #28 to Wash for future consideration is possible?

Washington do not have enough defenceman now. Dykhuis, while he has problem making the first pass, is OK in term of playing D. The Habs don't need them anyways. We'll call up Komisarek instead of Dykhuis or Traverse anyways.

Isn't that how we got Dykhuis in the first place, from Philly though?

I think we would have too, or Gainey is looking to do this, because if we are looking to trade for another D-man, space every where will have to open up, and money aswell. Lots of teams need D, I mean I would rather have Dykhuis then dressing only 5 D-men, but Traverse, well lets just say, had we gotten Thortons jersey for Weinrich, that would of been a better deal.

I would be surprise if Was make a trade for him , they doesn't claim him in waiver draft .

We could pay parts of his salary.
They'd have had to leave a player unprotected.

Some things can explain why he hasn't been selected then...

The fact that his status as an NHLer is up to debate could be one explanation.
