Brutal.

Too many re-treads and still not enough big forwards who can get to the net.

David_99 05-02-2006 10:04 PM

Ryder - Koivu - Higgins
Perezhogin - UFA - Kovalev
Begin - Plekanec - Latendresse
Lapierre - Bonk - Murray

Redden - Souray
Markov - Komisarek
Dandenault - Rivet

Redden isn't coming so you can forget it... He's staying in Ottawa. He'll take less to stay there if he has to.

KLu 05-02-2006 10:06 PM

Latendresse needs to be there, here is our guy who'll drive to the net and crash other players in the band

hockey_nut 05-02-2006 10:10 PM

won't bother coming up with lines... but we need an offensive No.1-2 center and get us a GOOD one-two center combo

we need a good jovo-type defenseman (aside from komisarek)...

we need plekanec and perezhogin to step up offensively ... we need higgins to keep it up like he did towards the end of the season... we need someone to crash the net...

KBstyle 05-02-2006 10:13 PM

Kost will be there before Latendresse.

Higgins-Koivu-Kovalev
Perez-Plek-UFA
Zednik-Chipchura-Kostistyn
Lapierre-Begin-Murray

Markov-Komi
Sourey-Rivet
Bouillon-Dandy

Need a big forward who can skate to play with Plek and Perez. Who's avaible??

nyhabsfan 05-02-2006 10:56 PM

IF ANYONE THINKS THIS TEAM WILL BE A SERIOUS CONTENDER WITH MIKE RIBERO AS A SECOND LINE CENTER IS DELUSIONAL AND I SERIOUSLY QUESTION THEIR HOCKEY I.Q.:dunce:

Madevilz 05-02-2006 10:58 PM

Higgins - Koivu - Kost
Zednik - Pleks - Kovalev
Latendresse - Bonk - Perezhogin
Murray - Begin - Lapierre

Markov - Komisarek
Rivet - UFA/Trade
Dandy - Bouillon

Huet
Danis

Do you think this lineup can actually win anything? Please people, RAISE YOUR STANDARDS?

yes I do.

La Grosse Tendresse 05-02-2006 11:12 PM

Higgins - Koivu - Ryder
Kostitsyn - Ribeiro - Kovalev
Perezhogin - Plekanec - Zednik
Bégin - Bonk - Murray
Lapierre - Ferland

Markov - Komisarek
Souray - Rivet
Dandenault - Bouillon
Côté

Huet
Danis

Anybody who thinks that the habs will sign a big player is delusionnal. They might sign someone like a McCauley on forward or Sean Brown on defense, but they won't ever sign a big name. The Bell Centre is always full and it's a lot less expensive to pay $500,000 for an ad company to put your logo on the side and make a happy face than it is to pay $5,000,000 to a player.

Whitesnake 05-02-2006 11:44 PM

In the end I can't see having Bonk and Ribeiro back. As much as Dandenault was OK, to have a better team is not to have a guy like him. I may be tempted to include Souray and Ryder in a trade as well.

And the other obvious that will be gone are : Sunny, Bulis, Zednik, Aebisher (if Huet is signed of course)

So lots of room for Coté, Emelin or UFA'S

And lots of room for Lapierre, Ferland, Latendresse, Kosty or UFA'S

Madevilz 05-02-2006 11:48 PM

Im afraid were stuck with Bonk.
He has 2 years left in his contrat, I doubt anyone would want him.

I seriously question the IQ of anyone who posts in capital letters.

It should be a bannable offense.

Ottawa has a chance and they don't have a great 2nd line center. They do have Marty Havlat though.

Agree, disagree with the other two. Kelly is a work horse, but he doesn't have all of the offensive tools Mikey Ribs does. Imo our 2nd line center next season, will either be Plek or a UFA.

Form and Substance 05-03-2006 02:00 AM

Bonk woke up...finally..his play on the PK is just simply too invaluable to simply dismiss him..and even though he's pretty damn soft, he does use his size to his advantage. Next season, there will probably be another influx of rookies clawing their way onto the line-up. I think that Chipchura stands a really good chance at making the team, even before Latendresse.

I agree. Smoke is just an overall under-acheiver (he's Mr. Average in every category). Kelly brings an awesome defensive presence, huge effort, heart but no offense.
