Goaltending

What are we gonna do next season? With both goaltenders obviouisly wanting to be #1.

If Huet is resigned I think Aebischer will be traded. He may be kept around to make sure Huet's season wasn't a complete fluke, but he's a very tradeable asset.

Aebi is gonna be in a lightning jersey, habs are gonna pull something off and sign Richards!!! :yo:

You mean trade for Richards I dont think he's a UFA.

I think Gainey will keep both Huet and Aebischer (Unless Aebi wants out) at the start of the season. If Huet shows no sign of slowing Habs will trade Aebi at the deadline and try to get the most out of him. It's all speculation on my part tho:) But I think that's how we could get the most out of him.

Huet and Aebi make for an incredible goaltending tandem, matched only by Buffalo.

But having two potential starters is a huge asset and while it may make sense to wait for the trade deadline, don't be surprised if Gainey pulls a trade early. There are a lot of teams who are dying for a quality starter and they may be willing to overpay, particularly if it lets them dump salary.

(In my NHL '06 game I traded Aebi and Bulis for Lecavalier. Come on Bob, get it done! :sarcasm: )
