Petes Win OHL Championship & Daniel Ryder Wins Playoff MVP!!!!!

Wow, what a series!!! Congratulations to the Petes on a fantastic win!! And congratulations to Daniel Ryder on winning the playoff MVP!! I said it all along and here's just some further proof that the Calgary Flames got a big time steal in drafting Ryder in the 3rd round when he had 1st round written all over him. Again, congratulations Daniel, I sure did enjoy watching you for several years here in Newfoundland and look forward to watching you light it up in the NHL.

1 Rob Schremp London Knights 19GP 10G-37A-47P

4 Daniel Ryder Peterborough Petes 19GP 15G-16A-31P

But still good for him

That's all great and all but why isn't this thread marked as being off topic? Does Montreal have a player on the Petes (I didn't bother checking so who knows perhaps we do)? Did we somehow draft Daniel and I blinked and missed it?
Don't mind me i feel like *****ing tonight for no reason

Yeah, we've got Greg Stewart playing for Peterborough.

Consider that Schremp had a total of 47 points and was still only a +4, whereas Ryder was a very impressive +12 with 16 less points. Further consider that Schremp has outstanding linemates in Kostitsyn, David Bolland and Dylan Hunter and that he is mainly a PP specialist playing on the most potent PP unit in the entire league, if not the whole country. Well its easy to see that Ryder was the MVP hands down.

That and the fact that MVPs in the playoffs are nearly always selected on the winning team.

Also, I would like to add that Ryder is outstanding in killing penalties and thus plays on their # 1 PK unit.

True, but I was only trying to point out that Ryder was more than deserving in this case.

Yeah, it should have been posted on the Flames board or marked as off topic.

But since this is related somewhat to the London Knights, I must say I feel sad for Kostitsyn... the Memorial Cup would have been a great experience for him as a rookie.

Yeah, I guess you're right. It' just that I got a little excited as I was cheering for the Petes and Daniel and also that I know the family. So I apologize and is there a way to get it moved to the Flames board?

Don't forget Sergei Kostsitsyn. He might have had a better playoff than Schremp.
