Keeping track of our prospects...

Since the deadline to sign European draft picks from prior to 2002 passed, I am just listing draftees that we don't have rights to anymore.

2000- Alexei Tereschenko, Vadim Khomitski, Ruslan Bernikov, Artem Chernov, Ladislav Vlcek, Marco Tuokko

2001- Daniel Volrab, Michal Blazek, Marek Tomica

2002- Jarkko Immonen, Kirill Sidorenko, Tuomas Mikkonen

So we lost our rights to these players? Seems like 2000 wasn't a very good draft at all.

yeah maybe lundqvist will be serviceable from 2000. Miettinen I like. Ott to me is wearing out his welcome.

according to spector's teams will retain rights to their russian prospects due to the lack of a transfer agreement.....btw, you can take chernov off the list as he is dead

What? When did that happen?

srvrules 06-02-2006 08:26 PM

i can find no link to the story, but russianprospects.com reported awhile back that he was released from his team for substance abuse probs (apparently heroin), and later committed suicide.....sad end for sure, and with dallas' failures in russia (RIP roman lyashenko) and the lack of a transfer agreement we've probably seen the end of dallas drafting russians for a good while

here's a link that confirms the story

Its not all that bad, you could probably utilize Khomitsky as a 3rd pairing guy.
