Wheel Hardness

is it possible to play indoor tile with 84A wheels? would i be slipping everywhere? or would i be able to cut hard on turns?

What kind've wheels are they? You likely wouldn't be able to cut hard on turns if they are outdoor wheels.

if they are standard wheels I would say you might notice some slippage

depending on your weight you will also notice problems during your stride as well

hmm, they seem way too hard
for indoor/smooth surfaces i use 74/76, and for outdoor i use 80A. its just more comfortable and smoother

If I played with 84a wheels on tile I would DEFINITELY be slipping all over the place, but I have always been very susceptible to playing with wheels that are too hard. May be my skating style. :dunno:

Either way, I wouldn't play on anything harder than 76a indoors.

I have a mixed set. I use very sticky/soft wheels on the front 2 to allow me to push off and pivot without slipping...usually a 68.

The back two are harder, 72 to 76 to allow for some slide when I want to do a stop and also because they last longer.

I'm 170 lbs and I push off very hard so i tend to eat through those front 2 wheels quite frequently
