He has been signed ...

Good for Carolina, Recchi is a great guy who can still play and is fantastic in the lockeroom, even if that salary seems a little too much.

2.28M? No. That's what his cap hit would have been, I mean his team option.

He had a team option, that was what it would have been worth, the Canes declined it

caniacgirl12 07-16-2006 05:03 PM

No, it's not true.

Maybe Pittsburgh didn't want him back.

Artyukhin* 07-16-2006 06:59 PM

Yeah, cause he's such a bad influence in the dressing room and doesn't produce :sarcasm:

When asked about next season at center ice ( after the cup win ) he said ''i denifently got some hockey left in me'' he looked 10 years younger :D What a cup can do for you

I agree with him. He can still play.

Haddock 07-16-2006 10:55 PM

I still haven't seen news on this. He made 2.28 millions last season and the NHLPA is not up-to-date until training camp. So Recchi hasn't signed yet.

Bud The Spud* 07-17-2006 12:14 AM

 I haven't heard anything about it.

Tricolore#20 07-17-2006 02:32 PM

It isn't true yet, so I'll have to close this unless some other source confirms it.
