Bauer Supreme 8090's?

Thinking of picking up a pair of Bauer Supremes 8090's and wondered what people thought of them?

Found them for 350 Canadian dollars (pro returns)

Any info appreciated.

Will be taking these back to England because the prices are so much better here in Canada.

VERY VERY VERY wide and deep. they better fit you snug also because they will get wider when the break in. hade to sell mine after a handful of uses because they were to big, other than that I loved them

They're very good skates. From what I remember they were a combination of the best features of the Vapor XXX and the Nike V 12.

But like grave digger said, fit is the most important factor. If your foot suits the skate then you can't go wrong. If it doesn't fit then all of the latest skate technology does you no good.

Here's a couple reviews...http://www.modsquadhockey.com/index.php?showtopic=2977

These are being phased out by the new Supreme line. They are going for very very cheap, like $150 US...if you can find that the skates fit, in a size you want, then stock up. I'd honestly buy a pair myself, cept I wear Vapors cause I like the fit.

Very good skates. They fit wider than Vapors, but are still not aswid CCM's. Like previous Supremes they will last a long time.

Thanks for the info.

I think i will have to go back to the shop and try them on again.

I also found some CCM 1152 Tacks for $250 but i think the Supremes are probably a better skate?

Help!

I have a hell of a time finding a skate broad enough towards the toe, any recommendations as to which skates to look for? To complicate things I'm living in China right now and finding quality skates (especially in my size) is difficult to say the least. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I like tacks but it's about fit more than what's "better" you see pros like Doug Weight in one90s and then see a guy like Joe Thorton in Pro tacks and a guy like Roenick in Eastons. Try them on if you can...

One thing you need to look at is that the old ccm prolite3 holder was known to break(moreso than others), so if the 1152s are from 04 or earlier they probably have the prolite 3 holders on them.

I've heard that the Nike's V series have a very wide toebox but haven't tried them myself. The Mission S series is quite roomy in the EE width.
