Pavel Vorobiev???

http://beanballinc.blogspot.com/2006...wks-treat.html

Id take him, he has good skill, never given a chance by the Hawks. Would Pock Hossa and Lampman be enough??

MisterUnspoken 08-05-2006 11:27 PM

Jay just stop man, we have like 300 forwards already trying to make the team

Son of Steinbrenner 08-05-2006 11:33 PM

I can't even defend this...

NYR94 08-05-2006 11:50 PM

Can Chicago really be as anti-Russian as he makes them out to be? I'm guessing his nationality wasn't really a problem.

It was his unibrow.

I never knew Pock was considered trash. He can help some teams pp. I feel we wont have room 4 him with Staal, Sauer, Liffiton, Baranka in future

Pock is an unproven NHLer that is getting up there in years and has never played well enough for an extended stay in the big leagues.

Pock signed at the end of 03-04. Played a few games for us. Had a not very good 04-05 in the AHL during the lockout. His first real chance to play a full NHL season was 05-06. He got in a few games. So he hasn't had a lot of opportunities but I agree he is getting older and he is on the borderline between making or not making it.

Pock will be 25. But he also played 4 years at college, and only 2 full years in the AHL. What if he went to juniors and then played 4 years at the AHL, then u can say his time is running out. Not all college kids make the NHL after they finish school, sometimes they need some time in the minors. Big difference from playing 4 years at school, 2 years in minors, than a few years at juniors and 4 years in the minors.

He sure is, unless you give a player till like 30 to develop... in which case he'd only be worthwhile for maybe five years. Pock has displayed holes in his offense every time he's been called up and he altogether lacks a defensive game. It's been a limited showing, but he certainly hasn't proved NHL material

shoothepuck 08-06-2006 08:02 AM

Because he's not wanted in Chicago, what makes him needed in NY?. Trades need to be made with a purpose in mind. This one seems to lack one.

Bravo.

At this point there isn't a whole lot of room and I think the Rangers would have better odds with Hossa....and that pains me to say.

I dont remember Vladimir leading the Rangers in goals, at least Pavel was doing that 4 the hawks before he got less ice time

But with that, you have to ask yourself, why did he get less ice time?
