Kinda OT: Ex-Ranger Steve McKenna becomes Aussie National Team coach

I didn't even know Australia had a hockey team lol. Just thought it was kinda interesting/funny, and wanted to put it up in case some didn't see it already.

I had a thread on this a few days ago. http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=280980 Maybe we should have a former rangers thread :where are they now?? it would be intresting to hear news on old rangers.

Ah those were the days.

One fighter who couldn't fight but was always willing.

Another fighter who could fight but never wanted to and looked afraid to get hit.

Throw out a defense that couldn't defend and offense that couldn't score and we had some real winners in there.

McKenna as a hockey coach? I remember hearing that he's a pretty funny guy in the locker room but I didn't know he had the coaching bug. I guess when you spend so much time on the bench or in the penalty box you become a pretty good student of the game.

Hopefully for the Aussies, he can teach better than he can play. If not, this could weaken their chances of making the Olympics or any real tournament.
