nice read, simon danis-pepin got a huge upside, like boris Valabik ... for a second round pick!

Vinceee 08-18-2006 07:33 PM

You should compare him to Carle or Maxwell since Danis-Pepin was taken in the second round...

With a face like that he'd better be good...

Indeed the article on NHL.com has an error in that Chicago select Danis-Pepin in the end of the 2nd round as opposed to in the 3rd round.

And our pick's name is White. Ryan White. It's awkward to use Simon Danis-Pepin's last name and Ryan White's first name.

Carle or Maxwell vs. Danis-Pepin... only time will tell. I do like his size, but as of now, I'm perfectly happy with our picks as well.

He looks like his face was squished.

He's 6'7 but only just over 200 pounds...

I'm glad the Habs took Maxwell and Carle. Danis-Pepin is a project, so judging him based on a couple of TV viewings this past season doesn't really get me anywhere. Every prospect involves a degree of developmental risk. But to me, the more "project"-y types start off at a higher risk level than others (the risk is typically offset by some other glaringly attractive trait... in this case, size for Danis-Pepin.) He looked weak, awkward, and almost completely ineffective when I saw him. It's not enough to go on for a professional scout. But since it's all I have to go on, really, my armchair vote definitely goes to Maxwell and Carle. :GWC:

I prefer choose Danis-Pepin and Maxwell than Carle and Maxwell . Danis can be a flop or can be a Chara :madfire:

He's also only 18 and has time to fill out his frame.

Do you understand how small that is?! I'm 6'4, 200 lbs and I'm pretty small, man. Adding another three inches makes for a beanpole, and nothing more.
