LOTN is insane...wonderfull GDT :handclap:

Fire Sather 10-07-2006 10:19 AM

Lets Go Rangers!!

I'd love to go 2-0 and send Philly to 0-2 on their home ice.

Looks like Nitty is playing? I think I read on the Flyers board that he is getting shots or something rather than surgery.

Same lines tonight unless Kaspar is ready to go.

NYR94 10-07-2006 10:26 AM

This is going to be a good one, guys. Philly will come to play tonight after being shut out by Pittsburgh on opening night.

Nittymaki is foregoing surgery until the offseason in favor of cortezone shots. I think many of you will agree that rushing a young, promising goaltender back from injury really isn't the smartest course of action. He has a partially torn labrum in his hip, so I guess this is his first big test. Especially mobility and getting in and out of the butterfly position. I don't wish anything bad on the kid but I really think Philly's training staff is becoming suspect over the last few years. Players from Lindros to Forsberg have called out the staff for some of their decisions.

Horacethe3rd 10-07-2006 10:46 AM

Big props for the game day thread!!! :handclap:

Let's go Rangers!!!

Yeah, that scares me some. The Rangers have to step it up and play better than they did against the Caps, especially when it comes to taking penalties.

exploit a slow Flyers D, stay out of the box, and stay sharp on D

Leetchie 10-07-2006 11:00 AM

Prediction:

A young Ranger gets hurt if he doesn't keep his head up against Gauthier.

CJB 10-07-2006 11:02 AM

:handclap: Thanks for doing the game day thread it looks really good, clean.

Leetchie 10-07-2006 11:09 AM

Apparently, in late breaking news, Denis Gauthier is hurt and I'm an idiot.

:)

BigCanada77 10-07-2006 11:18 AM

Dang...GDT is super fly and poppin fresh. LOTN is pretty neat.

Lets go boys...Beating the Flyers tonight would make the beginning of this season sooo much sweeter. Prucha-Cullen-Shanny owns my life.

Ocelot 10-07-2006 11:22 AM

I have a bad feeling about the game tonight. Maybe it's becasue I have a flyers fan coming to my place to watch the game.

kickice 10-07-2006 11:23 AM

wow that is an amazing game thread layout draft guru (and LotN of course!)

Thanks for the effort

UAGoalieGuy 10-07-2006 11:39 AM

I have a feeling Dawes is going to get his first NHL goal tonight...

BigE 10-07-2006 11:48 AM

Helluva game day thread my man. :thumbu:

Synergy27 10-07-2006 11:50 AM

Way too much negativity in this thread so far. Our boys were not firing on all cylinders on Thursday night, got the brunt of alot of marginal calls, and were still able to handily defeat (the lowly?) Capitals. I expect them to come out focused on the road and ready to make a statement in their first divisional game.

Prediction: Jagr scores 29 seconds in, Shanny nets two, Blair Betts snipes the top corner for a goal and Straka pots the empty netter.

Rangers win 5-2!!!

Right prediction, wrong day... :D

I'm optimistic about tonight (...DJ screeches music to a halt...).

True Blue Bleed Blue 10-07-2006 11:59 AM

Great GDT Guru. Unfortunately gonna miss the game tonight, but I may catch the 3rd period, got a big rivalry soccer game to play in. Should be back for the end of the Mets too. Anyway, keep the same lineup, plug Orr in over Hossa, and go 2-0 Blueshirts!

BigE 10-07-2006 12:06 PM

Oh and by the way, didn't Geoff Sanderson retire?

Pugs35 10-07-2006 12:11 PM

Has anyone tried to watch a game on Yahoo? At school these online streams are my only chance to watch and the Comcast live thing didn't work for me Thursday.

If anyone has, how's the quality?

klingsor 10-07-2006 12:28 PM

Nice game day thread, Guru.

I'm seeing a Trojan Horse when it comes to Lion of The North, though.

If memory serves, didn't we get swept by the Devils with his game day threads?

Gottokeeponrisin 10-07-2006 12:32 PM

Going to the game at the Wachovia Center!

I Am Chariot 10-07-2006 12:35 PM

Best GDT EVER!

What did Renny say about raising the bar?

I Am Chariot 10-07-2006 12:39 PM

Anyone catch Nedveds cute remarks about how to upsett Jagr

MisterUnspoken 10-07-2006 12:39 PM

Now that's a GDT!! Excellent work!!

Word is that Rathje will be out indefinitely but I'm not sure who will be stepping in for him. Perhaps a Flyers fan can give us a heads up on this?
