Its 2 games..

shoothepuck 10-09-2006 11:09 PM

While any team would miss an almost point per game player, NY upgraded with their other signings, and the pp will get on track soon

HockeyBasedNYC 10-09-2006 11:14 PM

little early for this

mhurley 10-09-2006 11:18 PM

Captain Hook would take more penalties then score on the PP.

Agreed.

Can we sticky a "Panic" thread and just funnel this stuff over to there?

Haha...

I agree.

Yeah, a little early to be flipping out when we're undefeated 2 games into the season. Let's see where we are 10 games in.

Block More Shots 10-10-2006 12:04 AM

Rucinsky was a good player but he wasn't the key to our PP. STL can take him, we have many players that can do just fine on the PP.

Just give it time! ;)

I Am Chariot 10-10-2006 12:10 AM

You know who I miss on the PP

Ozo

There I said it

Get Jagr and Shanny off the freakin points and on the circles.

Try Cullen on the Point if you must....but watch

Ozo will come back and light that **** up and we'll be biting our nails for the rest of the season

Edge 10-10-2006 12:25 AM

There's no one on the left side I'd take him over at this point.

Not Shanahan, not Straka and I personally think Dawes will chip in some points (he could've had a few already).

So now I don't really think the Rangers "miss" him.

I think it's a nonpoint. The top two lines wings will score more than he probably would and he's not getting those kinds of points on the third line.

DontStaal 10-10-2006 01:01 AM

in response to this thread... the rangers miss ME on their PP

but on a serious note (not that thats not).. I wouldnt mind Ozo on the PP as well cycleandshoot)

i miss you in my life

NYR469 10-10-2006 08:29 AM

just because rucinsky scored a ppg for st louis doesn't mean anything...rucinsky wouldn't even be on the 1st pp unit so he would have zero impact on it.

Melrose_Jr. 10-10-2006 09:22 AM

The PP strategy is the problem, not the personnel.

Fletch 10-10-2006 09:41 AM

No...

the points haven't been the problem. And I believe the Rangers' PP was at its best when Rucinsky was injured last season (20 or 30 games, which is a representative sample).

What he said.

the worst part isn't the panicing...it is that people are panicing when we are 2 and 0. jesus people, lay off the meds a bit this early in the year. your nerves will be shot to shiat come 07.

McDonagh27 10-10-2006 10:18 AM

I'm a Colts fan as well as a Ranger fan... and I see the same type of panic from both fanbases.. I guess having a perfect record makes people panic... Rucinsky isn't good enough to be on the first PP unit for this team, let alone probably 3/4 of the league... He's more of a complementary player than anything else..

The PP was quite poor last year and has been non-existant through the preseason. I think it's fair to question what might be wrong with that aspect of the game and how it could be fixed.

And I agree with that as well. No mobility in the PP.

ah, hahaha. i like how the voting has gone so far.

I disagree. He vanishes the second half of every year and never does anything in the playoffs. Good players produce all year and at least show up in the playoffs.
