lol i liked
"Maxim Afinogenov (Always does well agaisnt Montreal)"

You know he is leading the league in points so far this season
Really becoming a dominant force that we see when he plays the habs

atleast he is doing it to everyone now and not just us

gj man

mtl_felix 10-22-2006 10:49 PM

There's one player in the league i really hate.. it's Maxim Afinogenov..

Let's hope we can keep an eye or two on this guy!

What's to hate about him? The guy's fantastic all-round, and doesn't say anything, either. He's a perfect system player.

Why dont we poke him in the eye? Apparently you dont get penalties for that in the NHL.

fiel0004 10-23-2006 12:41 AM

RDS is saying that bonk may miss the game because of back spasams. If he does miss the game how will our lines look. Wouldn't that leave us with only 11 forwards since Downey is injured. I wonder if we will be calling someone up from Hamilton.

hototogisu 10-23-2006 12:45 AM

I'll be skipping my night course to attend this one :yo:

Raider917 10-23-2006 01:01 AM

The Sabres are going to lose sooner or later. Tommorow is a good time for it to happen.

- Canadiens are a whopping 43.8% on the PP at home!!
- Buffalo are 21.4 % on PP on the road

Galchenyuk x 27 10-23-2006 04:02 AM

im gonna be missing this one.. thank you CH express!

JMMR 10-23-2006 04:05 AM

My mom and Dad will be at the game. My mom is usually good luck but the Sabres are simply amazing.

GO HABZ GOOOOOOOOO

Wow I wouldn't go that far.

I'm usually the first person to give Montreal credit as I like how there team plays but I don't see how you can possibly say the Habs are better based on Rosters, Points, Standings, Last year and so far this year.

Hab-a-maniac 10-23-2006 05:05 AM

I predict a win, with us coming through in the end 11-8. We'll be up 4-0 within 10 minutes but Miller will not be pulled because Biron got arrested the night before for drunkenly punching a cop at Chez Paris. And the Sabres can't get their backup cause he's snowed in by a huge blizzard in Rochester. Miller will stay in and a TO will be called, but then we give up 3 before the 1st is over and Buffalo will score 3 early in the third on Abby because Huet leaves in the intermission due to revealing he drank too much wine the night before and feels sick. So then we call a timeout and we score 2 more to tie it but then they score 3 unanswered (2 late in the 2nd and 1 early in the 3rd) and go up 8-6. Huet is sobered up quickly by trainers and is thrown back in and the effect of a hangover somehow makes him so pissed he begins to stop everything. He doesn't let in another goal. On a 5-minute major to Miller for spearing Kovalev in the junk, we score twice to tie it.

Then we get a 5-on-3 thanks to Lindy Ruff arguing a diving call on Roy. So we score twice on those penalties without about 5 minutes to go. Then the empty netter comes with 2 seconds left to complete Higgins history matching pt. total and becoming first Hab to hit 5 in a game since Cournoyer in 73. Ok, so Higgins will score 5 goals (1 SH, 1 ES, a penalty shot tally, 1 on the PP and the last into the empty net) and 3 assists, Saku will have 1 goal, 5 assists, Markov will have 4 assists, Souray will score 2 and chip in with 1 assist, also Ryder, Begin shorthanded and Latendresse will score his 1st goal. Our PP will go 6/9 and Buffalo's will go 4/10. Afineganov will finish with 3g, 2a and Drury will score 1g-3a. But Higgins will have 10 goals and be tied with Drury for 2nd as Hossa will have a 4 goal night himself to take league lead with 13. Yep, this sounds about right.

XploD 10-23-2006 05:47 AM

Good luck. :P

Marksman 10-23-2006 06:16 AM

Janne Niinimaa should be the Habs key player for this one, after that comment from him.:biglaugh:

I have a good feeling about this game ... 8 goal night on Sat may have opened Habs pipes... another high scoring game in our favor, I hope.
